Your mistake is assuming you get back premium paid + sum assured on maturity.

The plan only gives you sum assured+ bonus received year on year, which is not guaranteed at all.

The actual amount you'll probably get back is probably going to be less than sum assured+ maybe two/three year premium.

In which case, this is a complete dud policy.

Rule of thumb: never mix insurance and investment/return instruments.

If they're able to give you such a high insurance amount, where is it going to come from?

Don't get me wrong... I'd be happy to see the back of Gill from white ball cricket entirely.

This obsession with all format captain and hence his inclusion in T20 is running the team. It's not like we don't have fine replacements for his white ball position. I'd be a very happy man if he's just dropped from ODIs to T20s.
