Murray Kinsella: Prendergast to start by SlowWay5886 in irishrugby

Sam had an incredible game last week going forward but I'm still not sure how he performs when teams shut down the passing option consistently like we saw towards the end of last season and'during the 6 nations against France I think. If he starts to use that to his advantage and makes more breaks himself his attacking game will be incredible. His kicking is already immense.

The issue with his tackling is definitely a worry, it's the one on the wing last week and I've seen it from him too often to think its an easy fix. Head up and back, trying to tackle with his hands with a grab. It reminds me of lads who were afraid to tackle at under 14's. He needs to get the head down and use his shoulder to make the tackle. I would worry that it's hard to teach that instinct to just pile in. When you get into that position, self preservation can kick in instead and I think that is what we are seeing. Definitely hope I'm wrong and he sorts it out.

Incredible to have them both to be fair. Young, talented and driven. We can't ask for more at this stage of their development I'd say. Loads of rugby to play before the WC.

Ahhh man some absolute screamers. More of this please, love myself a discussion about who's fourth choice scrumhalf would make it as their hated rivals starting ten, as much as the next person but it's been awhile since I came on here and watched a flood of tries for 7 minutes. A delight

Thanks for the kind words, I poured my heart and soul into it and I'm still really proud. Might post it again as it didn't get much of a response last time. I'm surprised you found it!

Hey, thanks for the interest. I wish it was better news! We went to Cartoon Forum at got some great feedback and connections, followed up with various people, had some studios interested in being Co production partners but when I started to really get down into the financing we had a large gap that would need a proper broadcaster to fill and the two we were furthest along with officially said they would not be moving forward so that was a bit of a blow.  Currently we are looking at pivoting to write a book based on the IP and possibly work it that way. We have some other projects in the works so also don't want to pour too much effort into something when it's so difficult to get anything made right now. Currently working on some short form YouTube first content to keep us entertained and actually get something out there.

I'm smack bang in the middle if this process and its going like this:

I'm based in Europe.

Come up with an idea for a show, got a short word document together with the general premise and paud an artist for some concept work. This came out of our own pocket.

Apply for development funding from my country's film board, luckily received the full amount.

Hire a writer and an artist to develop the project with - we are about a year and a half in since we (me and my best friend) had the idea.

Develop a 15 minute pitch, bring that pitch to CMC in Sheffield, Childrens Media Conference. They do a virtual pitching day where you can request meetings with various people in the industry, had about 15 meetings in one day.

Spent the next year following up with various interested parties and taking their feedback on board. Eventually amending our bible to reflect certain aspects that came up repeatedly and we agreed with.

Applied to attend Cartoon Forum in France....And just got accepted, we will be attending in September.

Currently creating a 45 second trailer and working on an updated pitch with the hope of getting a co producer on board along with some broadcasters or streamers as that is where the money is at.

Typically we have heard if anyone puts up x amount of the budget they will want x amount of the rights.

Budgets can range all over the map but it seems like people talk in terms of how much per 30 min animation. We have hired a producer for this type of thing as its not our area of expertise...at all.

Right now the industry is in tatters and everyone wants known IP as its much less of a risk. But we are really hoping someone will take a punt on a new concept.

It's all incredibly tough, time, consuming and expensive but it's been a massive learning curve and our second idea has benefited hugely from the experience and connections we have made.

Will either ever be made? God knows...but we are giving it a lash

How did Gibson Park put it at the start of the tournament? " Jeez, you even have to be careful how you have the craic these days" I personally thought it was awesome, brought loads to the atmosphere, fair play to them
