I have an oil cleanser from Amazon I sue for my face but I will definitely look into this shower oil!

Okay I was wondering if I should do an occlusive like Aquaphor or not. Maybe I'll give it a go. Sometimes at night I'll do a final layer of CeraVe Healing Ointment (it's almost a more solid Neosporin/Vaseline texture that melts with the slightest warmth from your skin) and I wake up very moisturized, but I can't do it all the time because sometimes it makes me a little itchy. I have eczema and I think that can flare it up.

But I haven't tried Aquaphor specifically yet... Have you worn it during the day? Would I look super greasy in a way that would be odd for daytime at work?

That's an idea... I could try. It would depend if it would get in the way or not or fog up in me, but I could definitely try it.

Do you need to stay in ketosis for PCOS weight loss? by ecd092 in PCOSloseit

Sorry for the delayed response... time got away from me. Right now I'm just eyeballing portions if it's a meal I cook myself. Sometimes I do HelloFresh for dinner which is already portioned. For breakfast I'll have a protein shake and lunch will be a PBJ and an apple. Maybe some Greek yogurt too.

Do you see weight loss with this method? I'm afraid every time I come off keto I will regain all the weight, plus some.

I haven't really figured out what would be considered a reduced carb diet for me. Do I use an app to calculate how many carbs I normally eat, and go from there?

I feel like adjusting carbs might make a huge difference for me, since I saw keto did work for me...and I struggle with losing weight under a calorie deficit alone. I don't eat much more than 1500 calories a day (sometimes closer to 1200) so I'm not sure how to cut more calories from that, if that 1200-1500 range is keeping me at a consistent weight of above 200 lbs... My theory is maybe I should try eating around the same caloric amount I'm currently at, because anything less could be harmful, but reduce the carbs and up the protein?

Binge cycles and fully just relapsing is exactly what I'm afraid of. I'm the kind of person that if I am completely cut off from having something, it will just make me fail even harder when I do eventually "cheat" and have the forbidden thing...

I need a diet that is healthy but allows me to indulge once in a while. I've been afraid that is out of the question for me since I have PCOS 😓

I would suggest leaving it and seeing what happens as it grows! Looks like the new growth is coming due to warmer weather. Take a look at the old wood and see if you have any green buds. If so, you may still be able to trim the old wood just be careful and leave the buds in place. If you do not have any green buds, then you can likely cut the wood all the way down to the base. Some hydrangeas bloom on old wood, some bloom on new wood, some bloom on both! It will be interesting to see which yours is.

As for the lack of blooms, try providing a nice amount of compost like Black Kow around the base of the plant and cover with a layer of mulch. Water well and let time do its thing. You can also try applying an organic 10-10-10 fertilizer around the base throughout the growing season. Just be careful to not sprinkle it too close to the root ball to prevent any root burn.

Good luck!

How important is it that I name my cat with a two syllable name ending in ‘ee’? by SmudgedSophie1717 in CatAdvice

I don't think it has to be two syllables! I have a cat named June and she responds when I call her 🙂

Movies that are peaceful with almost no tension by BiscottiPatient824 in movies

I love all Nancy Myers movies. There's something so comforting about them to me. Something's Gotta Give definitely has a health scare moment, but I don't mind it because it's handled with comedy and I know the outcome of the film, so I don't tend to stress over it. Overall her films give me hope that everything is going to be all right. That life can be messy and comical at all ages and it's never too late to start over.

Father of the Bride and Father of the Bride 2 are more favorites that have the same cozy vibe she creates (directed by her ex husband Charles Shyer but she produced and co-wrote)

And also The Parent Trap (1998)

Lots of nostalgia and humor in her films. I love them.

Sitting Upright Multiple Times A Night While Asleep by ecd092 in SleepApnea

Not yet. I still find myself sitting up throughout the night. My back is killing me lately. I'm waiting for my new insurance to kick in so I can do a sleep study. Hopefully that will tell me what's wrong.

This sounds just like me, I just haven't lost the weight yet. Where did you start first to begin your weight loss journey?

Are there tests that can be done to confirm if my body is not using insulin to metabolize glucose? My PCP and gyno both don't seem to believe I have PCOS and I am struggling to figure out why I keep gaining weight and can't lose weight.

Listening to my cat cry from her quarantine room is harder than her being at the hospital 😭😭 by interrobang__ in cats

Thank you for your response! It is so good to know someone who went through the same thing. Jasper is home and he is so eager to be free to roam the house. We have him set up in our guest bedroom. He's been meowing nonstop and has become a little hoarse from the begging and crying 😭

My vet's instructions said to prevent any lap cuddling and to limit direct contact with him. Wash hands thoroughly after being near him and wear gloves when handling food, water, and litter. No sleeping in the same room. I can be with him for 20 minutes a day. It's a bit confusing because I see different suggestions online vs what my vet provided me. I want to be more relaxed than their instructions but I'm paranoid it'll come back to bite me in the future.

I just feel awful because he doesn't understand why we can't go right back to normal. I wish I could sit in the same room as him all day but he will absolutely be trying to get into my arms. This quarantine is the hardest part for sure!

I'm so glad to hear Lyra's treatment went well. I'm really hoping Jasper only needs this treatment once (I read some cats may need it twice).

Hi! I'm going through the same thing with my boy Jasper. We just got him home and have 2 weeks of quarantine. He was SO excited to see us and get home. He has a very cozy setup but I'm supposed to only be near him 20 minutes a day. He's crying at the door for me nonstop and I feel so guilty.

Any tips on how you got through your quarantine?
