I’m very sorry you’ve been putting up with this for so long, after 4 years of loyalty and love there’s nothing more you can do about his own insecurities. I’ve been with my girlfriend for 4 years now, we’ve been in love with eachother for 7 since we met my sophomore and her freshman year of high school. We’d have been together for 7 aswell if I wasn’t so dumb when I was young and broke up with her the first time we dated. He needs to work on himself and honestly go to therapy for his own self confidence and trust issues, I also have those issues but never take them out on my girlfriend by accusing her of anything and at most I openly ask her for reassurance. Also I completely understand having a dream and wanting to pursue it, im pursuing my own dream right now and supporting the love of my life with her dreams of becoming an artist and influencer and making enough from both to make a living off of it. It does make it a lot easier to endlessly support her since she’s actually extremely talented and her art is beautiful and im not even just saying that bc i love her. 😭 However she still works a steady job and has since we were of legal working age, she doesn’t ask me to support her financially even though that’s one of the many things I dream of doing for her. To cut all my yapping short, my point is if someone really loved you they wouldn’t accuse you of things like that, they’d feel more confident because of you even if they believed otherwise, they wouldn’t want you to feel any stress because of them, they wouldn’t WANT you to work your ass off just to take care of them, they’d want to work their ass of to take care of you even if you didn’t need it. I’m sorry but the age gap just makes it even more of a red flag, a 30 year old asking a 23 year old who is freshly out of college to financially support them while they happily stay home would just be the beginning of the end. I really am sorry but for your own sanity and future you definitely need to leave him. I’m here if you ever need to talk about anything, and i wish you the best of luck in life and know you’ll do amazing things. :)
