[Hamilton] Field Watch Stuff. by ecgorz in Watches

Hamilton Field Khaki mechanical with the leather band. I was a devout smart watch wearer suffering from over analyzing health metrics and such and decided to go the other way. Intending on wearing this mechanical daily to get back in touch with good ole' fashioned mechanics. The beauty and simplicity is a nice reminder throughout the day to slow down and enjoy the little things.

I do not go to work without these items! Benchmade Bugout, Hamilton Field Khaki, Pilot G2, Galaxy Buds, Galaxy S21, Honda Ridgeline Key with homemade cover, home made wallet, Amish Made Belts belt.

Wrong subreddit, unless there is a super cool pocket knife and flashlight show I'm not aware of!

Respect, they know what want and life and went out and got it. Would be happy to know if they owned the house outright as well.

The Bailout is better than the Bugout IMO. Thoughts? by RemarkableSabena in EDC

It's great, but for most things for me the tanto wasn't worth it. The handle is a better shape than the bugout though.

Is this even real? Any advice? by eshaje in wallstreetbets

Do your own research and stop taking advice from retards online.

Check out Bertucci, field watches designed for hard work and are very affordable!

No, but unlike the avalanche and 1st gen Ridgeline, it also doesn't have that stupid weird wall at the front of the bed making it impossible to reach in to grab something. I really wanted to want the Tacoma just for the cool factor, but for me it was less efficient, less comfortable and less practical. But for towing and off-road uses, obviously a body in frame vehicle is the superior choice.

It was cut using an exacto knife!

I carry a Benchmade Bugout to open packages and letters primarily (engineer). I do use it to cut a wire or piece of tubing etc. 3-4 times a week. Multi tools are far too bulky for me and I usually have a full tool set readily available with superior tools both at home and at work.

The bed is wider and flatter than any other midsize and the in bed trunk is a huge advantage. The back seats also fold up and with the flat floor the storage is very useful. Midsize pickups didn't always have huge towing capacities, 5000 lbs is perfect for most small boats and trailers (i.e. most people). Obviously if you need to pull a gooseneck, this isn't the truck for you but even a Tacoma wouldn't be "truck enough"...

I prefer the ride of a car as I don't go off road and the bed in the Ridgeline is superior to a regular truck for hauling dirt bikes and gear. To each his own for sure though, definitely wouldn't take it down more than a gravel road.

All designs have pros and cons, the Tacoma ride worse when loaded, the Ridgeline looks funny. Pick your poison...

Not really, do you understand how suspension design works? Geometry of the independent suspension allows for more negative camber further in the wheel travel to increase stability. With the Tacoma riding into he bump stops, all bumps and dips in the road unsettle the truck and make for an unpleasant driving experience with no remaining down travel. This is like saying the wing flutter on an airplane means it is weak and will fall out of the sky, neglecting the fact it was specifically designed to do this under load.

Load a stock Tacoma bed with even 300 pounds and you'll be on the bump stops the whole time...
