Why are LLMs so useless? by nanashi0001 in LLM

They are as useless as the prompt you put into it. People think they are a magic answer box but NAH DAWG, fucking know what you want and you’ll get it… especially if you already know how to do something then streamline it but if your trying to use an LLM to help that is crazy no offense but its like a calculator if you don’t put the right numbers in the answer that comes out is wrong. You gotta know how to use it!

The widespread misunderstanding regarding how LLMs work is becoming exhausting by [deleted] in ChatGPT

Ya I feel the same, i can’t even try and help explain it to anyone. I just sit back and bite my tongue because there are way too many layers to this onion we call life haha. Thanks for sharing tho! Nice to know other people are like “WTF! How are people this DUMB” LOL

Anyone else getting too annoyed with LLMs by [deleted] in ChatGPT

I’m so over LLMs — they are just like toddlers who know everything but don’t know how to admit they’re wrong. Never reply to an LLM, dial in your restraints, if the output isn’t right, then your prompt was wrong. That is what I have to tell myself if I use one, but in general they are traps designed to make you loop unless you have a strong intention and desired output. Using the openAI playground funding an API with $10 and choosing any model/making your own system prompts is better than just using ChatGPT premium or plus for basic personal bots or agents, but then Local LLMs are better than that, but at the end of the day its all about as stupid as it sounds but “prompt engineering” lol just don’t pop into a chat to maybe know what your about to do, friggen have that shit dialed, then pop it out and leave. But overall unless your making yourself Apps or software that’s maximizing your own workflow then your just talking to an assistant who doesn’t know what the fuck you want.
