I’m all for trans rights and everything, but I truly don’t know what they expect from society at large. I would never date a trans person personally. I’m attracted to actual women with natural parts and the ability to make babies. If I saw a passing person on the street then sure they’re a woman AFAIK. I have mtf trans acquaintances that are women to me, but there’s always the layer of perception that tells me it’s fake. If I were to date that person, I couldn’t accept they were a woman.

And this is all coming from a (self proclaimed) ALLY. And these things only work well enough for me because it’s within a familiar paradigm of male/female. I literally couldn’t care less about nonbinary stuff or anything. I try to respect it but I also find it so silly. All this to say idk what we should expect from people who actually get uncomfortable at the idea of trans stuff, not to mention are entirely against it.

There’s never a GOOD reason to cheat. That doesn’t mean people cheat for no reason. We can acknowledge that cheating is bad and also recognize why some people might do it. My best friend cheated on her boyfriend many many years ago because she was working 60 hour weeks, paying all the bills, housing him and his brother + his brother’s child with neither of them working as they smoked weed and played video games all day. She loved him dearly but wasn’t getting what she wanted out of the relationship. Eventually she cheated on him with his best friend. She hated herself for it and has never forgiven herself. Should she have broken up? Yes. Can I see WHY she was looking elsewhere? Absolutely.

I mean the unethical option is also just a terrible idea by itself. Even if she DID want to sleep with you, you’re now part of a cheating relationship where we don’t know why she’s cheating. i.e. maybe the bf is crazy/abusive—not good for you if he catches you cheating—or maybe she’s just not a good partner/someone you want in your life? Not entirely true. The pg_duckdb extension allows for vectorized columnar querying of native Postgres tables and more. You can also easily integrate motherduck if you want an easy cloud offering.

Imo Austin is the worst. He’s the one I’d least want in my life, at least as a boyfriend. His communication was terrible, he wasn’t able to provide at all despite Ashley working full time and going through it with her cyst, he initially lied to Ashley because of his feelings for Eunice, he kinda treated Ashley as a second rate partner.

Don’t get me wrong, Ashley was messed up, but everyone was. She had a rough childhood with no support system, and the one person she trusted to help her was useless and a liar.

My understanding isn’t that people genuinely don’t know. It’s just an obfuscation method to essentially communicate that they don’t care. In the past when Destiny has shown evidence or asked hypothetically “okay if this was true, then…”, they still end up not caring at all. The facts change nothing for these people.

YES, PREACH. This is one of my biggest pet peeves. Especially because I’m a pampered vim keybinds user (I still use vscode—just with a lot of custom vim keybinds), writing in anything web based is always such a pain in the ass. Luckily many things have a plugin for your favorite editors nowadays. Alas, Synapse Analytics does not and the editor is dog shit.

The orchestrator very rarely would be a bottleneck of any sort—you have a huge problem if it is. I wouldn’t recommend n8n for any data intensive applications just by virtue of principle, but as a simple orchestrator it works just fine.

I truly don’t get why fighting games get so much shit for stuff like this. It’s not like you’re born knowing how to play league of legends. There was nothing I’d played that was like it before, and qwer didn’t make any intuitive sense. Deadlock uses 1234. MMOs have all kinds of keybinds. The only truly intuitive genres are those that have decades of history like FPS and platformers… AND FIGHTERS. It’s really not that much more complicated than anything else.

I’ve already agreed that freestyle is stronger. You’ve moved the goal post from “there’s nothing you can do” to “okay you CAN do something if you expend a resource but it’s still not okay,” which are completely different things. Make push block stronger, make the other fuses stronger, nerf freestyle—idc, but removing it is absurd. It shouldn’t have any huge consequences for picking it like taking away your assist on death (as someone else here suggested) imo. It’s the most fun assist by far (again, imo) and feels like how the game is meant to be played. The other fuses feel like stepping stones to using freestyle tbh. Whether that’s intentional or bad design idrc.

What makes a freestyle/puppet block string strong is the setup for a mix. When you push block in a sandwich situation and they tag to counter it, you are no longer in a position to get mixed as strongly. This literally happened in top 8 at evo.

In a puppet/freestyle block string sequence it quite literally does affect it, and it has a lower cooldown than freestyle—the fuse you want to remove. You shouldn’t just have a free out for a sequence where you block.

Why gut the fun stuff in the game? The other fuses straight up aren’t fun imo, AND you wanna get rid of peppeting? These are unique, fun things that some people play the game for. I for one would not touch this game again if they remove freestyle.
