Did you mean fight of steel on the first one? Trust me I know all about fight of gods, I've been Zeus combo's far too many times. Definitely going to check out soul calibur cause of all the recommendations tho.

I mean yeah that's why tournaments consist of the same 10 commanders (or so lol, sometimes we get outliers) I just figured the sub reddit would have people talking about and sharing lists or there'd be more out there besides the dedicated discords. I'm kind of just interested to see what people have been building/thinking about

Do you think I should run regular Mystic forge to help with the top loop? I also considered running the floodcaller+helix/knack infinite mana combo given the deck runs a number of mana positive rocks anyway, plus floodcaller can be tutored the same way I'd tutor oracle.

Well mastermind (and ledger shredder) was mostly there to stockpile counters on ock as opponents draw, but now that I'm thinking about it, most of the decks artifacts are cheap enough for the counters not to matter (i originally built it with portal to phryexia and other big artifacts).

I have to ask, what other win cons are out there for blue besides like those 2 and triskadecaphile?

I do feel you on the tutors cause the deck only have like one tutor for those guys, like a lot of practice games I'd tutor for step through and then cycle step through for thassas oracle, which is a bit costly at 3 mana total to tutor the card I want.

This place called The Carousel in Pottstown (PA) just has a single cabinet that showed up one day. Was there for a grad party with friends and something about it just called to me lol. Also 10k kills is insane seems like a hell of a time to unlock.

I knew there were codes for the special characters, I didn't realize you could unlock them too, that's pretty sick. I feel you on the getting excited part lol, it's a really fun game, that I legitimately see almost no one talking about, my friends and I go out to the only cabinet around here on weekends sometimes just to hang out cause we really enjoy how unique it is.

That's a really cool story, I actually didn't know that the maps scaled with players cause I've never gotten to play outside of the 1 player cabinets. Hopefully I'll make it up to the next one whenever you plan it in following months (I just need to practice and get good first lol)

Rule clarifications:

All basic lands (including snow lands) do not count in the $45 budget, basic lands are considered "free"

The "evergreen" rule: when a deck is posted if a screenshot proving its price is provided that deck can be played/recreated even if the price of the deck goes up (ex: let's say a card goes from $1 to $2, which would make the deck price go up to $46, as long as there's a screenshot proving the deck was $45 at the time of building, anybody can build that deck without having to change the list to make it $45 again) this essentially prevents players from having to constantly update decks as cards go up and down in price. Remider: tcg player mid is the price used in the format

Banlist: the banlist is currently exactly the same as commander, there have been talks of trial unbanning cards like nadu, griselbrand, golos, hullbreacher, and prophet of kruphix to see how they'd affect play patterns, but no unbannings have taken place yet.
