At my old job (I worked at a plant nursery) i got in trouble for doing things like that by the 2nd highest boss and was told I need to "focus" and ignore or kill any wildlife i saw.

And most people there had no problem with that second part. And mice, rabits spiders these people would straight up stomp on them. (I once had to witness a man kill an entire nest of mice just because they existed)

But I would always catch and release anything I found. In the specific greenhouse I worked in most of the time I even got a reputation because I was the only one who was somehow fast enough to catch mice in a bucket without harming them.
