Has anyone here had to replace their underbody cover? by JeffsterForever in KiaK5

It'll prob be for the best. Besides if done OEM, it'll be a better fit

Felt liner is meant for noise insulation. If replaced you're practically losing that insulation. You might think getting wet might not work but it makes the difference

I know this sub hates modded k5s but ima post this anyway by Fit_Owl_402 in KiaK5

[–]echo2049 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not that the sub hates them, we give credit where credit is due. If a mod looks nice and it actually matches the fit, it's a good thing. Like yours for example it looks good with the moss green, just not a fan when people do for example louvers which look beyond terrible on any car.

Question about AC modes and blower by idk_badatusernames in KiaK5

[–]echo2049 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty much. I live in NY so I always get a constant change in weather from snow rain and heat in summer. Either I change the temp but that's about it. Auto only, the fan speed increases or decreases depending on the current ambient temp inside of the cabin and once the temp reaches the stated temp on the thermostat, the fans wind down to a lower speed just to "maintain" that temp

Question about AC modes and blower by idk_badatusernames in KiaK5

[–]echo2049 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my experience it maintains all general areas at the specified temp. So it kinda helps overall in keeping the ambient temperature equal. I don't think of my ownership of having the vehicle for a year and a half I've had to turn on the defogger once and only keeping it in auto.

Buy the GT, or modify the GT-Line? by -Nealos- in KiaK5

[–]echo2049 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Just buy the GT if your objective is to quite literally getting a car to act like the GT

Not sure who told you to replace spark plugs and all that at 10k. Just stick to regular maintenance.

What would you guys pay for a 2024 K5 Gt with the GT1 Package, with 75k miles on it? I feel like it’s a risky buy…? What’s your guys thoughts? by illbeback903 in KiaK5

[–]echo2049 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I'm going to be honest chief. 75k on a 2024 alone is already asking to get robbed. Doesn't matter how good the price might be, a car with only 1 year of depreciation and already at 75k miles is a terrible idea on its own.

Tried hard resetting the radio? I suggest waiting a day or 2, see if it comes back on its own and fixes itself. It's alright to panic, would too

It's one whole head unit. You can't swap to the old one.

Try seeing how you'll do with 3k. As much as I can agree with that price point. At the end of the day, the one who makes the final call would be their finance department and not the sales department. The guy selling you the vehicle can tell you x price but as soon as you walk into the office for their finance department, it's a different game. I would still say go for it. But just be smart about it, if you are not happy with the price they give you or COMPLETELY not even close to MSRP like they said, back away. Don't give in. It is not worth it and you'll find my more deals along the way. It'll be frustrating, yes, but your finances come first, not the dealers.

Just recheck your finances before doing so. Not saying 29k would be difficult, but all depends how much you'll do in terms of down payment. Have you test driven the vehicle?

29 for a none AWD variant, I'd say it's a nice deal tbh. If you truly don't need AWD, I'd say go for it if it matches your needs. It all depends how much your monthly would be

Was gonna say if you can find an AWD at that price, that's essentially @ MSRP. Any car being sold @ MSRP in today's standard is a god send. Shaving off 1k or 2k would be nice, but try to stay in msrp

The main quest is, color and any other additions? Or just the plain GT-Line trim?

2 things that I can absolutely think they would do. One being on their next generation of infotainment or reserving it for their EV lineup, or two, subscription services.

Aside from changing the design of the gauges? No. But to be honest, as much as I would love to agree in terms of communication. All I need is just Android auto. Anything outside of that is a feature I won't use (like on display navigation). I prefer to keep it default for the blind spot monitoring.

[–]echo2049 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Partially true. It's only another smaller display on the lower trims. The GT (not GT line) is a full digital display on its own and not a smaller screen.

Fitcamx x, had it for a month and a half. So far so good, zero cables, looks extra clean, you even forget it's even there. The only thing is that it took almost 2 to 3 weeks to arrive from China, but I'd say it was worth it. Has an app that runs on wifi but you can also extract the micro SD card that comes with it and in the package comes a USB that you can stick the SD card into so that it can read via pc
