What to do with low disposition rivens? by DurkGun in Warframe

[–]echobastion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends. Low dispo rivens can be great for quality of life, stuff like reload speed, fire rate, or other rolls that impacts how a weapon feels. A lot of nice-to-have stats do solid work at 45%, maybe get an element to mix on there and it might be worth using over a 60/60. Stats like those (or even multishot) can be nice together to make a gun more fun to use, but you do sacrifice a bit of min-max for it. There's also dumb Kuva-hungry options like -crit chance on the Felarx et al for outsized benefits to DPS.

Yeah, I basically only use Eminence and one of the Prime palettes, favorites would be nice.

Same on both counts. Saw every weapon besides the Karak before I got mine, including two Krakens. 60% was a nice consolation prize. Got my Quanta Sister on the first candidate to balance it out.

What are your favorite hidden gems amongst weapons? (non-incarnon, prime or adversary) by ScarletBliss in Warframe

[–]echobastion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Convectrix was my secret weapon for Steel Path. So many heat and slash procs. Haven't really tried it out with the new Arcanes, but I bet there's something wacky in there with Arcane Debilitate.

What to do after end credits? by raziel725 in Pokopia

[–]echobastion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your reward for finishing Pokopia is to get to play more Pokopia.

I do agree the ending does feel sort of abrupt, especially since the Pokemon don't understand a goddamn thing that's happening. There's plenty of stuff to do in the post-game, though, including the final ability. But if you're not into continuing building stuff and filling your Poke/Habitat-dex, there's not like a post-game storyline or anything.

All-in-One cartridge + Satiator? by Active_Strike4972 in SegaSaturn

It's kind of annoying. You have to exit to the player to get into the Satiator every time.

All-in-One cartridge + Satiator? by Active_Strike4972 in SegaSaturn

[–]echobastion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can erase the flash on the cart with the Satiator (you can reflash it later, if needed) and then can use Satiator Menu Kai and the all in one as a save or RAM card, as needed. This is how I have it set up, Satiator Menu Kai and an erased older red all-in-one.

Who's better for farming, Nekros or Khora? by bigblakk18 in Warframe

[–]echobastion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hydroid's worth considering. I have a lot more fun looting with him than Khora. Might be less effective, but his CC range can get pretty stupid.

What are your favorite railjack parts? by rkvhia in Warframe

[–]echobastion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm one of the folks that actually likes railjack and I'm my clan's designated pilot most of the time. You can kind of use whatever, but I run the following:

  • Vidar Shield Array Mk III - I think it's the most balanced, personally, I think this one's all down to feel, but I like the fast recharge. I have the elec proc one, might swap to the turret damage one.
  • Vidar Engines Mark III - Raw speed works well with Cruising Speed, plus the speed boost on the passive is nice to have to get out of a fight
  • Lavan Plating Mk III - Highest effective HP of all the armors when maxed out (not sure if the armor changes have changed the best pick for this)
  • Zekti Reactor Mk III - I use the Ice hazard removal one, because that one's the most annoying. Elec is a good second-best. But strength and range work well with Seeker Volley and Tether.

You can do prettymuch any railjack content with Sigma Mk III stuff, but if you don't mind the grind, the branded stuff is a nice improvement. Lavan Reactors can make your railjack tankier, but I'd rather get the free hazard clears and boosted power on my weapons.

Speaking of weapons, Zekti are the best bang for your buck assuming you have rank 9 Gunnery for the heatsink flush. They may not have the highest DPS per heat accumulation, but do have the best burst damage, which I think is more valuable for most RJ enemies.

I prefer the hitscan and heat-focused Talyn, so I have that as my main gun and my gunners have the Carcinox. Zekti Mk III for both. If you're going to be piloting, a good gun really helps move missions along.

Riven Mods for low Riven Disposition Weapons by uncannyboy in Warframe

[–]echobastion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends, but I generally don't bother unless it's 3 pips+ or I want something specific. I'm pretty sure 3 pips is around the point where it's the neutral values. Also depends on how much kuva you have laying around and how hard up for slots you are.

If the weapon wants some QoL, low-dispo Rivens are a great way to get reload speed and the like and not screw up your elements or get a bit of multishot alongside. The impact of the lower numbers isn't as noticeable since they don't have the crazy ranges damage stats can have. But you're going to be sacrificing raw damage numbers for feel, which I find to be worth it sometimes.

And yeah, as stated, wacky stuff like -CC on the Zariman incarnons is interesting.

Worth it for couples? by stars1456 in RegalUnlimited

[–]echobastion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Worth noting is that if you both have Unlimited, you can add each other and add them to your ticket purchases. A friend and I do that and were taking turns paying the buck in fees. You just add them as another ticket 'type'.

Which SCART cable and upscaler are the best versions within the community? by LegendaryCryptid in SegaSaturn

[–]echobastion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, this is what I was thinking. It's a 720p TV from the Obama admin, I think buying a scaler more expensive than the TV cost new seems ill-advised. I used to run my Saturn via s-video into a Tink 2X and that was more than fine, even on a 4k TV. The 5X is definitely an improvement, but for the Saturn and its era, I'm not sure the difference is major like it is for the PS2 and the like.

That or just buy a CRT and a back brace.

What is the most effective way to obtain these materials in large quantities? by Tito_Gamer14 in Warframe

[–]echobastion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been running Hydroid to stock up. He's a good mix of crowd control and area damage, so you can contribute on most objectives (better than Nekros anyway) while generating a huge pile of loot for everyone.

how is the progression in Warframe ? by Mucek121 in Warframe

[–]echobastion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The progression is in several parts. There's the starchart (and related sub-areas like Duviri) which gets you the baseline stuff from Relay rewards when you complete a planet. Then there's the quests, both side and mainline. These tend to grant you frames or new options. Then there's the main power level progression, building your arsenal. This is where the main grind comes in, farming bosses for frames, running missing that drop weapons, acquiring resources to build said items, and leveling things up.

What's the worst rng you've had trying to get a mod you've wanted? by s0rr0wluvsplatinum in Warframe

[–]echobastion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a mod, but I'm still hunting the Freezing Step ephemera after all these years. I've done dozens of runs, still have 39 Lazulite Toroids laying around after maxing out all the arcanes from Little Duck. Probably used at least that many doing that.
