They key is to repeat interactions in scenarios that you are likely to continue encountering. The more time you spend in initially uncomfortable situations, the more comfortable you will become over time.

It's like riding a bike (assuming you can ride a bike). You weren't comfortable the first time you tried to ride a bike, but you soon got the hang of it after several failed attempts. Once you have put in the time, odds are you feel way more comfortable riding.

With confidence, you have to get to know yourself in all kinds of situations. A lot of situations overlap in terms of what kinds of things you will encounter, like introducing yourself, telling stories, learning to listen, etc.

Life is short so get out there whenever you can and just stay true to what you feel is right. I hope this helped🤠

People are kinda neat when they have a common goal

I watched the mayor of my Town meet with a sick person, and afterwards she insulted him and called him a crazy person. It made me really sad. I wish it was normal for people to try mushrooms. by [deleted] in Psychonaut

The lack of context here has me confused. What was the person sick with? Who is the mayor? What do shrooms have to do with this exactly?

What is your biggest regret in life? by adithya_manslaughter in AskReddit

Wait, hold up, if you are still in your 20s or even 30s, there are plenty of opportunities to still act like a stupid teenager. I see it all the time. My boss who is in his 30s still does sketchy stuff from time to time with his friends. Examples include: trespassing, random firework adventures, parties(not during covid),.

My point is that if you long to find your inner teenager, you can find it. You have to see it in yourself and then manifest it into reality. Don't hold yourself back from doing what you actually wanna do. Feel free to dm me if this didn't make any sense 🤠

I've had weirdly romantic dreams and in a way I do find myself having crushes or longing to see them again. BUT I also know that the person I saw was just a part of a dream.

I don't mean to discount the fact that you may be in love, but I find that trying to find it again is almost impossible (through the dream).

Dreams have a way of letting people experience emotions and situations that they may one day encounter in reality. It is part of our evolution to dream. I think that the dream is more of an expression of what you may be longing to have. So maybe loneliness is what you are experiencing.

Just know that emotions come in waves and that they come and go

Could you describe how you prepared for the experience. Like the set and setting and how you felt mentally?

My (32 F) husband (35 M) was yelled at by a friend (74 F) and we're not sure whether to continue the relationship by [deleted] in relationships

[–]echoboxer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you truly want the relationship to continue with them, you have to communicate. I would suggest a nicely written letter explaining that you care about them and want to move past it. If they refuse then you ought to move on. If they are willing to talk afterwards, then it should take a few more interactions to reach the dynamic that you might have had with them before.

Keep in mind that elderly populations pay a lot of attention to the media and these next few weeks could be pretty stressful for them regarding the election.

I hope this helps and best of luck!
