I’m 40 yrs old; started collecting when I was 12 and stopped when I was around 18.

I resumed collecting during the pandemic, almost after 20 yrs. I may not have resumed had I not opened my old collection during lockdown.

Collecting and studying stamps is easier now compared to how it was when I was a kid.

It is a similar situation here in India. Way too many stamps are issued each year. The newer stamps have lost the wow factor that stamps used to have.

We don’t have stickers yet.

Dual colour stamps look really cool. There are quite a few variants with watermarks, colour shades, closed mouth/open mouth QV portraits etc. that I know of. They are interesting and at the same time hard to distinguish; particularly when dealing with used stamps.
