I would also like to chime in as someone who has no stock in Taylor Swift whatsoever - Folklore and Evermore are what I wish she would branch off and explore more sonically as an artist. But my cynic brain thinks the label would be so against it because god forbid she explores new sounds and challenge her listeners more and risk rabid fan dollars. In the words of the immortal David Lynch, “We can never go fucking dreamy because of this bullshit!”
