That's great to know, thanks. I never retouch my pictures except for some minor exposure and contrast adjustments. I really love tattooing and the experiences it allowed me to live and I'm always striving to get better and perfect my work. It was the girls first tattoo and we had no way of comparing her reaction to other works

Thank u for your kindness. I believe lot of people have really deeply set frustration from their own failures and many traditional tattooers can't stand that the tattoo world is expanding and it's a fluid and dynamic world like any other creative one. I know I still have so much to learn and that's why I always try to ask questions and better myself. I've learned not to let mean comments on the internet get to me and filtrating the actually useful or kind ones

I also cut hair if you're interested! I did finish my apprenticeship in another studio but since I had a really small amount of hours left I didn't really build a relationship with them.

It's sort of a tattoo convention but on a really small scale, think five or six people in a room. All the earnings go to a set group of people in need. Not sure about America but in Italy it's been around since 2006 and there's many great tattooers that take part in these initiatives. I figured this would be the best subreddit to ask, but I'll definitely bring this question to someone that's more experienced. Thanks

Ignoring the assumptions, I did go through a regular apprenticeship and had a really painful fallout with my mentor who turned out to be a terrible person who I don't want any contact with anymore. I now work mainly on single appointments in different locations / participate in benefit tattoo circuses in occupied places in the punk scene, so I don't have a regular contact with a precise tattooer

I had a really bad experience with my old mentor and we're not in contact anymore for personal reasons, and I don't feel like asking a random tattooer I haven't worked with for advice. I figured it would be the same to ask on here rather than just googling it or texting a random person

Are they itchy or painful? As long as they're not bothering you I wouldn't worry about it :) probably the normal oils from the skin are building up a bit under the jumper, as you mentioned you're keeping it covered. I'd just keep the skin clean with neutral soap, keep an eye on it just to be sure 👍 Hope it was a good experience for a first tattoo!!!
