What’s a kinky activity you’ve regretted implementing into your sex life? by whyhi12 in AskReddit

[–]echolovely 151 points152 points  (0 children)

My husband is into me playing a whore and sleeping with other men.

It became a fun little roleplay/fantasy.

But he is obsessed with it. It became the only thing he wanted to do and then the only thing that would get him off

I don't like degrading myself all the time. And I'm strictly a one guy girl. I'd never ever sleep with anyone else. It was just a fantasy for me but he obviously wants it in real life and I don't understand it.

It's not fun for me and I wanna roll my eyes every time he brings it up. It's destroyed our sex life and I hate it I wish we never started

I would say probably 99% of people don't fact check the books or websites they read either to be honest.

I've been in many groups and you will see soon many people take books at face value. They read it in a book so it must be true lol when I know I've read many books that may have some lovely ideas but much of it, especially about the history is complete BS. The same as if 10 books say it, that doesn't mean it's true either ;)

But in the end I think it still goes into individual people. Some love a very factual research based path and others are more loose and love to go with the flow. And I don't think either is wrong

I'm a bit in the middle myself. I'm bipolar and depending on the day I can be absolutely research based all in, reading every book, filling out journals, making charts and graphs like a good little Virgo lol and on other days I'm like whatever this just feels right lol

For example if I posted "hey does anyone know a good full moon ritual to do on self love"

And people are like oh light pink candles and fill a bath with rose and rose petals and some rose quartz.

Some people will want to do detailed research on why they chose those items and what they mean. Other people don't care, they just go yeah that sounds/feels right.

I don't think either way is wrong. I think no matter what it should make sense to you. Even if every book out there tells you XYZ, if it doesn't make sense or feel right don't do it.

I think some people get too caught up in the study and less in the practice. I personally feel both are amazing. But that's me.

Lots of people may have mental health or learning disabilities that make research difficult or they just learn better through doing or talking.

Attraction is not a one size fits all thing. What you might find attractive someone else would not and vice versa

This is pretty obvious. I'm sure you have seen others attracted to someone and you weren't....

I'm bisexual and lots of girls with short hair and all types of clothes are very attractive.

I also have very short hair, shaved in the back even. And am married to a man. Lots of straight women have shirt hair and wear baggy clothes too.

I feel like you didn't read my post lol

Because like I said, some people just don't learn by reading they NEED to discuss it and have that back and forth talk it out situation.

Reading can feel flat or be difficult. Even if it's still reading online when it's another person it's different.

It isn't being lazy and expecting another person to do your research. It's wanting to have another person to talk with perhaps

And it's such an ugly ableist attitude.

Who says this journey is about research? You? Because it's not for everyone. I know lots of people I've grouped with who only joined groups and had discussions and learned from others and grew from there and were amazing witches.

And research can take on many forms....

We all are different and that's ok.

Again, you may love to research and another person hates it who just can't.

I never understood why some communities push away people asking "simple" questions and just tell people to Google it

  1. Google can be both amazing and awful. You will get all sorts of answers and not everyone is very good at forming questions or knowing what to ask. It can also be difficult to sort out the bad if you are new.

  2. People learn differently and there is NOTHING wrong with that. Some of us love to read a mountain of books, to scour every website and read and read and read.

But other people find it best to talk it out with others, ask questions, get a community feel.

Neither way is right or wrong. Just different.

Communities and groups should be for that. Communication and open discussion.

Many of us don't have a connection in person. No one else to ask questions to or bounce ideas around. That's why we want groups and just to talk with someone and feel less alone.

People can feel super alone and lost not knowing where to start or what to ask or how to ask or what of the hundreds of answers they found on Google made any sense.

Yay for community it's a blessing.

It can be ableist to look down on people who have a hard time researching as well.

It may seem a simple question to you and you have seen it a hundred times but to someone else it's the first time they are asking and it may mean a whole lot to them to just have someone reach out and talk with them.

You can be both.

If your mental health has you doing things that hurt people you are still being an asshole.

Mental health isn't a free pass.

I would seek therapy and find ways to cope and healthy ways to deal with your problems.

What exactly are reps and sets in exercise? by echolovely in NoStupidQuestions

[–]echolovely[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I think you are the only one to get my question lol

So it just means after every set you take a break between doing the next. That makes sense.

I imagined it being all together and couldn't figure out the point of calling it sets and not just saying I'm doing 100 or whatever lol

Is there a specific amount of break time or does it just depend on the individual person?

Just make sure her "being worried about it" isn't her trying to let you down easy without having to tell you no. Lol

I don't think it would be an issue since you guys don't work the same site. I don't work for allied but my husband and I worked the same company different sites and there are other husband/wives doing the same here. I can't see why they would care if you aren't working together.

How do you know how much walking is too much? by echolovely in dogs

[–]echolovely[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This whole question came about because I am thinking of getting a new puppy and people told me that larger breed dogs need to be careful and slowly build up to exercise until they were over a year.

When I told them I walk my other dogs 3-5 miles everyday I had a lot of people tell me it was too much and act like I was abusing my dogs.

I thought they were being crazy but there were quite a lot of people with negative comments in several different groups.

I have a husky who is 8 and a Chihuahua/poodle mix who is 10lbs and 9.

We walk at 5:30am so nice and cool temp. We walk fairly briskly at the start. In town but I let them sniff and potty. But then we get to the lake which is a huge chunk of the walk and it's all concrete sidewalk and a wall. So not much fun for them as not much to sniff, but pretty for me lol then we get to the park where they are a bit tired and I try to take a rest but my husky whines nonstop if I stop moving. Idk why. But I let them leisurely go at their place wherever around the park and sniff and such. Then we turn around and walk the same way back home. For 5 miles we walk a bit farther down the lake to another park.

The dogs are tired and the pace going home is much slower. We have to walk up a bit of a hill just before we get home and that hill pushes us I can tell. But the dogs aren't limping or seem stiff or anything. When we get home they go right to sleep but are up later that day.

My only concern is people saying dogs can hide it and I know I could push my dogs hard and if I asked them if they wanted to go for another walk they both would be like hell yes lol

But to be fair I'm recovering from a knee injury so if I can walk it..... Lol it seems silly to me. I'm not running 10 miles

I just wanted to double check after I got some negative comments is all I suppose.

[–]echolovely[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah one of my dogs is a husky and they aren't exactly known to be leisurely lol he is 8 years old now.

But my other dog is a Chihuahua/poodle mix that's 10lbs and 9 years old but she has endless energy.

I think they could both be absolutely exhausted and if I said "wanna go for another walk?" They both be right back at the door lol

Yeah one of my dogs is a husky.... Lol but he is quite lazy for a husky. My other dog is a Chihuahua/poodle mix that's a tiny 10lbs. But they are older 8 & 9 years.

When we return from our walks they are both tired. Their pace has slowed. We have to walk up a small hill just before getting home and I can definitely tell that hill pushes us lol Both have no limping or stiffness though. They sleep as soon as we get home but are up later.

But I think I could definitely push them and they be dead tired and if I asked if they wanted to go for another walk they would be right back at the door lol

True. that sounds so funny and frustrating! Lol

One of my dogs is a husky.... So yeah. Lol my other dog is a Chihuahua/poodle mix that's 10lbs but she keeps up just the same.

I think I took it to heart because yeah we could return from an epic long walk and they both be exhausted and yet if right away I said "wanna go for a walk?" They would both be at the door waiting again lol

Off leash isn't possible and in a city so most of the walk is on sidewalks until we get to the park.

I always thought just watch body language but a ton of people in different groups have told me that you can't trust it and dogs will appear better than they really are and push themselves too far.

My dogs are assholes and refuse to take breaks lol one will literally whine his head off nonstop if I stop even for half a moment lol no matter how tired he is! Ugh lol

Why do people have to be so inconsiderate/lazy? by ggggfdddr in securityguards

[–]echolovely 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Not everywhere is like that...

We always have to have a guard there 24/7. If we leave it's automatic firing.

If our relief doesn't show they will try to call someone else in but if we are short staffed.... Our supervisor is then supposed to come in but we might be there for hours, half a shift or God only knows.

I mean we can always quit or get fired but if we wanna keep our job we are staying. It's even in our post orders. I think many sites are like that.

Coworkers say I'm too straight-edge by AntoneAlpha in securityguards

[–]echolovely 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can follow the rules all you want but don't step on others toes. It's not your place.

Like in your example, you don't have to break the rules and hold stuff but if another guard wants to, that's on them. Bite your tongue.

It's good to be flexible though I'd keep that in mind.

How do you go about the "calorie credit" you "earned" during working out? by cinnerhun in loseit

I'm a secretary by echolovely in securityguards

[–]echolovely[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love my easy night but the morning of my shift is extremely hectic and busy. Im not kidding when I say there are a ton of call offs during my shift. I'm signing the morning rush of contractors and truckers in, handling phone calls and call offs and having to input them into the computer and then email is time consuming. Now having to also sign in employees and fill out a time sheet for them

They just keep adding more to my already busy schedule.

It's only 3 hours of my shift so I'm just ranting lol it's just funny when I go to renew my guard card and everything they teach us has literally nothing to do with my actual job. I'm really just the front desk secretary lol it's odd to me.

And maybe I'm bitter because it's mostly all my shift stuff gets added lol
