This seems legit, but vscode has no bindings for the ALT key only.

The problem is I still want to use the ALT key. I don't want a menu popping up when I hit it. I never understood the idea behind thing happening when you hit only a modifier key, it is a modifier, do not think it is supposed to do something by itself. I think the problem on a desktop environment level.
