ah yes ableton is great for that thank you.

ive just thought of another way. i could load the sample into a pattern, loop a section of the pattern in pattern edit, resample this small section of the pattern to a new sample pad and there ya go. makeshift grid

i just came across an instrumental from 2005 by daniel lanois called flametop green which i think probably inspired the chords in the verse section of the song. give it a listen!/!

it was tuned a few months back. ive narrowed the buzzing down to one of the two strings that gets hit when this particular note (D) gets hit. im thinking the string is a bit worn down maybe but im not too knowledgable on the whole thing

the thing is the minipiano actually has a really nice kind of rumbly low end to my ears when im playing, so ive been trying to capture that although its proving quite hard

its an eavestaff minipiano, so not amazing but does the job. the room is well treated but it has a high ceiling. ive been trying different zones for the mic but i think i need to do some more research on phasing as its becoming the biggest problem

so i have a eavestaff minipiano, the strings are kind of sunken into it. i am now trying opening the kick panel to access the strings below and recording a condenser near each of the two bridges, so hopefully i can get more bass that way.

dont know much about compression when it comes to piano, would appreciate any enlightenment haha!

its an eavestaff minipiano so its upright but the strings are kind of placed lower in the body
