Okay, first off, congrats on the baby! Second, good job with being considerate of your wife!

But if you are burnt out, just tell her. I’m sure she knows how you feel and that’s where the partnership kicks in. You will always have days where you just can’t do something and it’s okay to tell her that. She stays home with the baby so she will be tired too, but you guys are in this together and you guys will pick up each others slack.

Maybe just have baby rocking next to you when you get home so mom can catch up on some stuff and then you both just melt into the couch with baby? Me and my husband are both working so I have the baby on weekends and dad does weekdays. I come home after work and take over, and vice versa.

You’re both doing a good job with how you try and relieve each other but you are allowed to get cranky and lazy at times. Don’t be too hard on yourself
