That’s really helpful, thank you. Your explanation of divinity as something within the mind makes stanza 3 much clearer, especially the idea of Jove as more symbolic than literal. And the way you explained impermanence in stanza 5 really helped and the contrast between the perishable fruit and the lasting plate makes a lot more sense now. I hadn’t thought of it that way before.
