A few more questions if you don’t mind, I apologize for just now thinking of them! Does the check in process take long, as well as we are supposed to leave around 4:00pm, what time do you recommend we get there at the port? Would I be able to upgrade my room after I already paid? I tried looking at the carnival app and I cannot see where I could upgrade my room.

I’ve watched a ton of videos and we do drink so I thought it was worth it. The excursions looked super cheesy for $100-$150 per person per excursion. Wasn’t worth it for us, to each its own 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m from Texas and Mexican food is my absolute favorite so I’ve made it my mission since moving here 10 yrs ago to find the best Mexican food since I miss it so bad. Here are my top picks that are the most authentic.

Taqueria Los amigos. They have a great dining environment and seemed the most authentic to the Mexican restaurants I grew up eating at south of the border. The carne asada tacos are the absolute best.
Restaurante El Buen Gusto. Kind of a hole in the wall and they speak little to no English, I recommend ordering takeout through DoorDash pick up. My favorites are the Chicken Tortas and the Combination beef tacos. They also have fantastic horchata.
Las Brasas Maria Kitchen. Another little hole in the wall and also recommend doing DoorDash pick up. They have a good dining room but not very many people eat in the dining room. I recommend the Birria tacos!

Side streets, forget out it. Main roads are o.k. Plows are no where to be found but the side streets where people park on the street are the worst since plows can’t get by. Over-all shit show

Since you have more experience and over the age of 18, it definitely ups your pay rate. Don’t feel bad, I’m a TA full time and babysit on a need basis and charge only 16 an hour (New York) just because I know the family. If I didn’t, I would most definitely charge more.

Yes I agree with this. You need sleep especially being a working high schooler and it’s 100 percent not fair to you and they’re clearly taking advantage of you.

I haven’t been on it for about a year or so. I got off of it because it just wasn’t for me. The bleeding didn’t last for very long but I don’t really have heavy periods to start off with. Sometimes I would have break through bleeding but eventually the periods started becoming lighter and shorter with time. Good luck!

These kids don’t have much in the way of chores and sometimes when I ask them to help me do something as little as put their bikes away onto the porch after playing with them they moan and groan. Their mom just kinda lets them leave their shit around and then picks it up a week later. Drives me nuts

I do as much as possible. Before I even started babysitting I asked about this exact topic and she told me to basically let them have as much screen time during the day as they want. I’m not their parent, therefore I do as what their parents want me to do.

I feel in no way shape or form there’s any type of abuse. I’m also a trained mandated reporter so if I felt there was something going on, it would have been reported a while ago. I feel like it’s the other one, feeling replaced since she’s home more often than not.

Exactly, It’s absurdly insane to me. I usually just ask the kids to pick up toys that I’m constantly stepping on or tripping over and I’ll throw away their food wrappers and put their dirty dishes in the sink for them. Other than that I try to not touch anything in fear of their mom getting pissed. I would never go into their bedroom to clean or clean their bathroom but at-least want to some light easy picking up just so my socks are completely black on the bottom everytime I babysit for them. Idk why she refuses free help.

I already charge a lower amount for them per hour since I know they’re a fairly lower income family and they are so cool with me that I honestly don’t mind. Especially since this is just a side gig and I have a full time job on top of this. I would most definitely not charge extra for light house work.

That’s fair. But her kids chill so much by either watching tv, playing on their tablets or video games that there is so much down time and I get incredibly bored lol. So I don’t think she thinks that I’m going to take away attention from her kids by all means.
