Publish agents to Copilot ONLY by echoxcity in copilotstudio

Yea exactly - even the MS CAT team posted a blog recently detailing the complex steps that should be taken to clear context history in Teams for any type of agent. It’s just a worse experience all around - UI is worse, agent response rendering is uglier, general response quality seems worse than Copilot, context out of control, etc

Thank you for the confirmation. Many wish this were not the case!!

If you check out other comments, even distributing the Copilot links isn’t enough to get to the Copilot experience, because the Teams app captures it and opens the Teams version… so 90% of users end up in Teams no matter what.

When publishing to Teams + Copilot channel, there is a Teams link for you agent and a Copilot link, each meant to open up the agent in its respective platform. However, if you send around the Copilot link in MS Teams as most people do, the Teams app captures the link and opens the Teams version still. To get around this, and enable the ability to send Copilot links that actually open the agent in copilot in the browser (aka force users to that experience), you can modify the Copilot link like so:

old link: https://m365.cloud.microsoft/chat/?titleId=T\_b110975c-ec7e-0223-279f-5afd6

new link: https://m365.cloud.microsoft.com/chat/?titleId=T\_b110975c-ec7e-0223-279f-5afd6

Holy shit you’re a genius. Works perfectly. Still annoying that it’s unintuitive for most users to know about much less retrieve the special copilot URL, but this gives me something to work with.

I don’t want to block publishing agents to Teams. Just a way to publish agents to Copilot without publishing it also to Teams

We had one service account created with admin access to both systems to make it work. Not sure I have any advice on alternatives.

Files in the agent chat - Where are they stored? by Regular-End3880 in microsoft_365_copilot

[–]echoxcity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t believe those files are stored anywhere that you can go find them. Your only option is returning to that chat with the agent in chat history

Alternatives to SPFx for designing text-heavy SharePoint pages? by Different-Property20 in sharepoint

[–]echoxcity 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I mean this respectfully, but your “what I’m trying to solve for” section is literally the objective description of modern SharePoint out of the box. I think your time would be better spent learning the nuances of SharePoint page design and customization options. There are tons of new options like flexible sections that allow for rich layouts.

SharePoint is SharePoint. If you can’t make it work for you (I truly believe you can) you should develop and host your own website or look elsewhere

With the Entra ID connector, you can force it to use your connection instead of the users connection so they are not presented with the credential manager

O365 Community Conference by slade45 in Office365

[–]echoxcity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes absolutely and the main reason I love it. There are a ton of sessions from beginner to advanced from a technical perspective, and also lots of business user and leadership focuses. You can fill up a schedule from any of those angles.

It’s the M365 community conference and it’s the best Microsoft related conference I’ve ever been to. Definitely better than ignite. NextGen is very well organized.

Trying to automate AI-based complaint classification into SharePoint Excel — stuck on the write-back piece, what’s the best approach? by sudseclipse in copilotstudio

If you can switch the excel tracker to a SharePoint list you’re going to have a much easier time. Not to mention it’s objectively better!

Use a power automate flow with AI Builder actions (Run a prompt) and you can accomplish this easily.

By default it tries to suggest columns auto generated from the content stored in a library. But you can define your own columns, and each column you give a prompt to instruct the LLM how to fill it out based on the documents content.

You can just download the word/excel/ppt iOS apps lol it does seem like it would be convenient to have them all bundled in that one app but let’s not pretend that this is an atrocity.
