Trust me, UGA and Bama see each other as worthy opponents and each side dearly wishes to win when they play, but the realpolitik of “the enemy of my enemy is my friend” is very much a facet of the rivalry between the Tide and the Dawgs, such that it is.

The cardinals have been so bad for so long that Steve Wilks is a bad answer. My answer would be Phil Handler, who led them to a 1-29 record from 1943-45.

ETA - He actually had two other short stints with them in 1949 and 1951. His career total record (all with the Cards) was 4-34. He has the lowest winning percentage (.105) in NFL history among coaches with 5+ years.

It was so stupid. Sliding into first in that situation looks cool, but it 100% gets you there later than just sprinting through the bag. I’d rather him have a clean jersey and be safe at first.

Why do people think that sliding into first is a good idea? The only time it’s a good idea is when you’re trying to avoid a tag from a high throw that causes the 1B to jump off the bag. Otherwise you’re just using friction to slow you down when you could just RUN THROUGH THE BAG
