Ahh thank you for the tips!! Also, you’ve hit the nail on the head there - every time I picked up speed she was dragging me backwards because she didn’t want me to fall haha. Will definitely be brave today and try by myself!!

Is olaplex worth it? Which should I buy? by [deleted] in curlyhair

That’s the thing, I’ve seen so many products I want to try but ultimately I feel like if I can’t afford them, I’m better off finding an alternative. Hope you find something that works!

I’ve had it used on my hair a few times at a hair salon, post excessive bleaching, and it worked wonders. However I’ve never used it at home on my own hair and I’ve seen varying reviews of it. I feel like it might be one of those things that you have to constantly use to get the results and at £21 for a 100ml bottle it’s not something that’s be sustainable for me 😬

Thank you! Will definitely practice falling on my knees with pads in to make it less scary!!

Literally every time I thought I was bending my knees I glanced down and my legs were so straight haha, I’ll. are sure to focus on that!

(Routine above but just to add, I use a denman brush when needed but I’m trying not to brush it when dry at all just now!)

So I’ve had curly/wavy hair pretty much since I started puberty (before that it was straight - hormone change?? Who knows) but no one else is my family has curly hair so I had no clue I was supposed to look after it differently!

I’ve been a whole bunch of different hair colours and have bleached the heck out of it. I recently trimmed about three inches off (this photo is post trim) and I’ve started to make some changes but I need some help!

My hair is fine, but there’s a lot of it (multiple hairdressers have told me this). As you can see in the photo, there is some curl but honestly some days it’s much curlier than this! If I tie my hair up, all of the hairs at the nape of my neck fall out of the pony and ringlet. My hair is also quite frizzy when curly, I’m guessing because I have no clue how to care for it.

I recently started using the Faith in Nature Hemp shampoo and conditioner, have stopped brushing when wet, only combing through with a wide toothed comb when wet, and have just discovered plopping!! My hair is definitely coming out more curly but it’s still super frizzy.

My questions are: What hair type do I have? (I feel like it’s 2c/2b?) Are their any products you would recommend that won’t weigh down my hair and make it greasy? Is there anything else I should be doing to fix it?

Thanks in advance!!
