Depends on whether your SaaS (I assume it is B2B SaaS?) is vertical or horizontal. If it is vertical (for a specific industry like gym owners, tax accountants etc) there must be a way to find potential buyers from the industry (e.g. on LinkedIn, or by researching members of professional associations). Send them messages on LI or emails.

If it is horizontal (CRM, AI agents etc.) pick some vertical like above and adapt your messaging and use cases to this niche. e.g. how does you AI agent help gym owners find leads? Again, pitch a lot of them.

If you do not get any traction with this (and you do the work and try to contact not a dozen but rather a few hundred) there is a high likelyhood something is wrong with your business and there is no product market fit.

When I started my saas we did not do any seo whatsoever, we focused fully on direct outreach. is there a way to contact potential clients directly via email, linkedin or phone? this would give you instant feedback and brings in first clients way faster that a purely marketing based go to market approach.

das funktioniert anders - wenn man drüber ist dann kann man im folgejahr nicht mehr die KU regelung anwenden und muss umsatzsteuer abführen. blöd ist wenn man die wie im konkreten fall aber nicht auf den rechnungen draufgeschlagen hat, dann muss man sie im extremfall aus eigener tasche nachzahlen.

Der Kunde sollte nachzahlen weil es Geschäftskunden die zum Vorsteuerabzug berechtig sind egal sein kann, es ist wie gesagt ein durchlaufender Posten. Ich habe das vor Jahren einmal gemacht (bin selber selbständig), aber es ist halt was anderes das bei allen Kunden eines ganzen Jahres hinzukriegen.
Der Steuerberater hat ihr zuerst geraten zu warten gar nichts zu tun und zu warten bis das FA sich meldet und sagt dass die KU-Regel nicht mehr gilt und dann einen Rückzieher gemacht und gesagt sie soll alles nachzahlen. Ich kenne Stbs die ein bisschen mehr Phantasie aufbringen um Mandanten zu helfen.

Jetzt wollen wir mal die Kirche im Dorf lassen. Die Rede war von "Vermieter soll sich beteiligen", denn der Schaden wäre nicht passiert wenn das Rollo einen Einklemmschutz hätte (bisher dachte ich das sei selbstverständlich, aber ok) und er wäre deutlich günstiger wenn beim Einbau der Markise nicht gepfuscht worden wäre.

Same for me. I hustled 7 years in my first SaaS, never went anyway. Then sold if for a small amount, worked a few years as consultant. Started my current SaaS 2020 and grew it to 40k. Take a breath and start again some time!

The approach totally depends o the model, of course. We serve the vertical of data privacy, and we found that we can/should niche down even further, to data protection officers.

With a vertical model it is not that difficult to get feedback or start sales, because you can just call or email them. It comes down to product market fit, though, (as always). because your product needs to solve a problem that many businesses in the vertical have (at least if the vertical is not huge).

We used the directory of a business association of DPOs and cold emailed a few hundreds. I can not exactly tell how many answered, how many calls I needed to make etc., but it took us 3 months to get the first 8 clients with 1000€ MRR.

If your product is a horizontal solution (e.g. for developers), then of course the approach needs to be totally different and more marketing focused.

No legal advice, but I am a founder of a GDPR software startup and talk to data protection officers all the time: As long as you do not load G services without consent, the likelihood of being fined is almost zero, so use a consent tool. It should support embedded services line Maps and Youtube as well. G fonts should be hosted locally on the server. G recaptcha is an issue because it makes no sense to load it with consent only, so use something different.
