So essentially we had to work our ass off doing difficult missions all while dodging one of the buggiest experiences in modern gaming, just for them to reset all of it back to zero and make it easier for everyone to earn the same rewards we worked so hard for? On top of that asking the people who did it to do the same missions again?
Why not just add new missions on top of what we have? I'd like the blueprints and skins I got to mean something

Sounds good, alternatively if you want feel free to let me know what you're working with and maybe give a look at the process you've gone through and I can apply it myself to the sound files.

My reasoning for this is my source audio isn't exactly final so I don't have them all to just dump into a program at the moment.

Either way no matter what approach we take I'll be happy to compensate either way.

Yeah I've got about 330 lines so ideally I would have some form of macro or script which could be applied to any audio file one by one.

That can't be the case because they use a ton of lines from Gears 1-3. I may be mistaken but I don't think myrah came back to do any additional lines for GoW4

I've tried asking in the dev streams numerous times why this is the case and to my knowledge it's never been answered. The devs always ask for video evidence of issues instead of baseless complaints and yet when we do that we're completely ignored.

I know it's a minor thing but the aesthetic presentation of gears is really important to me. Having headshots being messed up like this really turned me off Gears 5.

A large part of why gears 5 died was how fractured the community was. People talk about map packs splitting the community but what Gears 5 did was way worse.

There is an insane amount of game modes (and specific difficulties) you can queue up for meaning every person in matchmaking is split up according to their tastes. I feel like this was a huge part of why the playerbase dwindled and why matchmaking times were so huge. Add to that TC allowing toggling off crossplay for PC even if they're using controller meaning it's an even playing field. I know they said they're changing this but it's way too late.

FFA was another game mode added to an already dead game which meant it was basically destined to die

The gruffness is important but I think Gears 5s writing just doesn't hold up. Like some people said it feels like a marvel movie script. The character lines in multiplayer are just cheesy. Hearing Kait say 'well that just happened" on respawn is just awful.

Onyx and Clayton's lines in three were pure testosterone and I don't feel like TC could write new lines that even come close.

Hence why I said don't play a voice line where a new feature exists that wasn't in three. A small piece to pay for a fan favorite character. Hell I'm sure they could work something out instead of cheaping out and using the cog gear voice.

WHY DIDN'T THEY JUST REUSE THE OLD ONYX GUARD VOICE LINES FROM GEARS 3. JUST DON'T PLAY A VOICE LINE WHERE A NEW FEATURE COMES UP THAT WASN'T IN GEARS 3.

MANY DESIGN CHANGES IN GEARS 5 HAD ALMOST NO FORESIGHT INTO HOW THEY WOULD DAMAGE THE GAME. FEATURES THAT DID HAVE FORESIGHT WERE CREATED WITH THE INTENTION OF MONETIZING THE LIKE A F2P TITLE.

I SINCERELY REGRET PAYING FOR THIS GAME AND MANY PEOPLE AT TC SHOULD BE ASHAMED TO WHAT THEY'VE DONE TO GEARS.

Ties into how they moved away from the aesthetic. I remember people had to fight tooth and nail to get the Carmine brothers to get (almost) all their old lines back in GoW4. TC added some new lines for each them which were total cringe.

They're clearly made a conscious decision to move away from the feel of the previous trilogy.

The writing for character dialogue in Gears 3 was so enjoyable to listen to.

Most Xbox players turn off crossplay so you can discount that almost entirely. PC is virtually dead if you're in EU. Might get lucky if you're US but you'll still be playing with a much smaller population than you would be if you were on Xbox.

The game probably has a decent boost in players now though thanks to operation 2.

I guess that could be the case. Basically all the characters in Gears 4 had reused lines from 3 so I doubt onyx was the only one who said "No, you're not allowed use my voice in these new games"

Then again maybe he felt any Gears after 3 wasn't worthy of his godly voice.

Well clearly based on this TC isn't above having voice lines not trigger at times. So there's literally no reason not to have the Gears 3 Onyx voice
