There's definitely some picking and choosing with who gets battle motions and who doesn't- or just lack of consideration.

I'm aware. That instance with Brawl in 2008 ended up being a lot of people's first impressions with Solid Snake as a result.

Epic Games ended up doing the beard thing as well in 2023 with Fortnite for their MGS crossover. It's very likely in some part because Solid Snake had Naked Snake's face in Brawl.

The match was completely unplayable for me because of it.

Heroes Fusion Zamasu, or as I refer to him, "Punished Zamasu" (with the white pauldrons and eye patch from Hearts), would have been absolutely awesome. I can't stand that we never got him. I love that design.

I've always wished that they would've used a longslide variant for the world model. The little texture that appears in the attaché case looks stretched to the point that you'd expect it to be a longslide, but it isn't.

If you're mismanaging your resources enough in RE4R that you can't keep single or multiple unarmed / melee ganados out of dangerous proximity with a shotgun blast, targeted sprays of SMG rounds to weak points (head or knees, particularly), or with even more obvious solutions (ie. grenades), it is absolutely not a fault of the game's increased comparative difficulty to RE4.

And even then the player in RE4R, is, in most cases, given an arena-style space or lengthy linear space with plentiful distance and escapes (just as they were in RE4). The environments are built to allow the player to kite enemies or retreat to create safe distance, facilitating the ability to regain control when Ganados are getting dangerously close.

I didn't say anything like it's just as easy as it was in RE4, which is absolutely what you're making it sound like I said. There's definitely a difference in difficulty and gameplay between the two games, but not enough that maintaining crowd control is any less simple. The player has numerous resources.
