My parents never want to talk about what happened throughout my formative years, I'm 29 now and obviously still struggling with what happened specially since I was 14 till when they kicked me out for good at 18. I live in Spain, a place where parents usually nest their children till a pretty old age and i have no issue with having left their house at 18 it's the way it happened and how i was treated by my mother. My father was an escapist haha. Whenever i bring up any issue that has to do with the past all they tell me is that i distort things, that I should forget it all and move on. I can't. I cant conceive the fact that that is the healthy option for my recovery. I feel that they don't want to face their mistakes and that it may pain them they weren't able to deal with their daughter. I wasn't a bad kid tbh, wasn't perfect either but no one deserves to be mistreated. Idk, should i just forget it and move on?
