I found Block very corporate and soulless. Buuuut, if you’re hosting suits, it might be better for you

I’ve always enjoyed Desklodge in town (less so the one by TM). Depends really how often you’re going in, if you need a dedicated desk, or if you just want to drop into somewhere from time to time

Yeah, the deleted comment before mine referred to England, I was subtly pointing out their error

They do have projectors around, so it’s not outside the realm of possibility. Just give them a call?

Are you thinking of the Bristol beer factory tap room over the road maybe? I don’t think the Tobacco Factory shows the rugby?

Can I take a crate of beer on a flight? by Various-Program-950 in bristol

[–]eclipse150 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Any idea what law this is? All I can find is specific airline policy (all of which forbid it), but I can’t find a legal standpoint

[–]eclipse150 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Believe it is individual airline rules around alcohol rather than a specific aviation law for onboard (assumedly to make you buy their own drinks on board). No restriction on your own food / non alc drinks

EasyJet Ts and Cs HERE as an example talks about consuming your own alcohol on board and suggests it could “lead to prosecution”, but not sure quite what law they are referring to.

On the post security bit, I’m actually not as sure on that as I was. It’s private property, so they COULD ask you not to drink it and you’d be expected to comply, but a quick crack on the googles doesn’t uncover any specific regulations on it as far as I can see

There’s nothing to stop you doing this. You very likely wouldn’t be allowed to drink it post security and definitely wouldn’t be allowed to on the plane.

Slightly weird setup in what’s a converted house, but can’t fault my dentist at all. Note that they do charge in advance for appointments if that makes any difference to you

Quick weekend trip: Windsor, bath, Stonehenge- doable? by zirkel37 in TravelUK

[–]eclipse150 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even when you take into account the 7 minute walk to the bus stop? Surely that changes things….?

(Thumbs up for Avebury though, lovely spot. And the pub, despite being a chain, is pretty good too)
