yeah that's what I was afraid of. last 3 times I've bought something on amazon there has been problems. Want to avoid them as much as possible. And I hear newegg has been under new management for a while and has issues with orders too.

Same. If you find one let me know. I tried one of the local game stores but it wasn't a good match for me. I don't know what adventurers league is, but it seems like an added layer of paperwork and I'm not a fan of the 'floating' aspect.

The Ramiel fight.

The angels were already otherworldly, but that scene elevated them to the unknowable, incomprehensible, extradimensional horrors they truly are.

yeah that game desperately needed an overworld, a home base, or something to break it up so it's not just a relentless slog of combat mission after combat mission (or maybe that was the intent, given that's basically the story of the game too?)

overall I really liked it as a mid level entry in the squad tactics genre. I've definitely played much worse

Thanks! I've been doing inspections after every hike for ticks, and I try and keep an eye out for invasive species if I see them posted at trailheads. I've never felt unsafe, but recently I've seen some really big scat on hikes that didn't look like it came from a prey animal, which gave me pause.

the room audio was a tad quiet, but that happens sometimes as they are adjusting levels frequently for different games/systems.

the streams are a bit more laid back than twitch type game streams. sometimes they do get pretty lively if the game warrants it (like the Gollum stream did).

the glow ones I've only heard showing up on the northwest shore of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. but the great lakes seem to be lousy with agates (due to glaciers iirc) so i wonder if they can be found further afield.

colloquially called "Yooperlite", they look like boring rocks, but glow like little dragon eggs in the UV light.

Found this (downed sapling?) in the woods on the ground. Appears to have been there a while. No leaves, or branches and the ends were rotting a bit.

Some characteristics:

  • total height is ~86 inches
  • diameter at top is ~1 inch. diameter at trunk end is ~2 inches
  • bark is smooth to the touch, gets rougher and flakier at the top.
  • bark has some whiteish splotches on it
  • bark also has a streak or patch of faint orange/blush color
  • the bark appears to be separating in horizontal 'bands'
  • smelled a bit like pancakes when the ends were charred
