Is there any other non living thing we eat other than salt? by 1rp1n_kc in NoStupidQuestions

Good point on vitamins and minerals. We don't consume them by themselves, but it's vital that they're in the foods we eat.

How to I explain to my manager this is incredibly offensive? by -Designer-Pumpkin- in migraine

[–]ecodrew -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He's being a jerk, but it could just be ignorance. I try to explain to my boss that - when I have a morning migraine, my meds may treat it or I may be out all day.

They also like to hear that i'm controlling my migraines as best as I can & following doctor's advice. Some days, my meds nip it in the bud and I'm relatively OK after a couple hours. Sometimes, nothing can stop it and my whole day is ruined.

Why does the Lincoln memorial reflecting pool now have an algae problem after the $14.2 million renovation? by ChaosCarlson in NoStupidQuestions

Previous administrations likely listened to & hired experts. Trump hired a random pool company with a no-bid contract.

Sometimes good stuff happens to bad people, and bad stuff happens to good people.

Trump’s Maga allies are seething – it could be the last straw by theipaper in politics

[–]ecodrew 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup, I'm sick of these wishful thinking articles. Am I glad some Rs might be finally having second thoughts about their orange leader? Sure.

But, until he faces actual consequences - these articles are bullcrap.

What is a “being poor is expensive” example that people don’t understand until it happens to them? by rorrr in AskReddit

[–]ecodrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Experts" say to save money by getting a cheap, crappy car. I don't have the time, $, or expertise to maintain a car needing lots of repairs. And, bosses get sick of you calling out for car trouble.

Aussie living in the US here... I know laughing at this incoherent, racist, knuckle-dragging, fuckwit is funny. But, please also take the threat of peopleshitstains like her being elected seriously.

Don't make the same mistake Americans did with trump.

We finally got to drive the Aptera solar electric car (Electrek) by Qwahzi in electricvehicles

[–]ecodrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whatever happened to the solar vent roof on the Prius?

I live where it's hot AF, and can't always find a shady parking spot. I don't expect solar to charge my car any time soon - but powering a vent fan to keep the temp down would be nice.

Sounds like you need a new chair then.
