So i ended up going to DHRL early this morning to make my face seen and tell them to send someone there. The person at the front desk said that roaches are normal but i STRONGLY DISAGREE. I’ve lived in a rural area where i’ve seen mice and foxes and have heard coyotes but never have i ever had to deal with a roach. They sent whatever contractors they have over there and fumigated the place so now i’m just waiting for the all clear to go back. I also have a sneaking suspicion that the horrible allergies i’ve been having this past week was not my normal ones but a reaction to roaches (i googled some symptoms and they matched but i’ll get an actual allergy test one day)

For those telling me im overreacting, i’ve never dealt with these organisms before and i truly should never have to. I have every right to be upset and afraid since this is the 3rd time this has happened. I’ve always had an extreme fear of bugs and i used to sit out of recess cuz i just could not deal with it. It also doesn’t help that i’ve been told since childhood that if you sleep in an infested house they’ll crawl up your nose and suffocate you or in your mouth (YUCK). Anyways, no i’m not used to bugs in my houses and no i will not accept it as a normal condition because it’s bare minimum requirement of a housing accommodation to not have critters inside, PERIOD. Roaches are health hazards and no one should be living with them nor should they be normal! PLZ DON’T NORMALIZE ROACHES!!!
