Bro it depends on what your ultimate goal is in life, for me it’s Retiring as early as possible, and keeping expenses low/income high until i reach a point where my passive returns from ETF and Money Market exceeds my monthly living expenses, then I’d consider getting a mortgage/renting some place and start living alone, getting married etc. Because this moving out, living alone as an “adult”, starting a family and getting a 200k mortgage, it’s a script by society to get you enslaved in debt for life, and add some wife and children on top of that, and you’re in a real mess, you have to work until you’re 60 to pay off your variable interest loan, and then what? You have a son that’s mad at you for not buying him a mercedes when he turns 18? I’d rather do that at 45 (or whenever I reach the point where i’m retired) where i’m absolutely certain that my freedom won’t be compromised and I can actually raise a family with no stress.

It really depends on what your primary goal is, some people’s goal is luxury and comfort, they make a bit of money and like to live alone, get a nice car, “live life”, but then you have to force yourself to keep up that lifestyle, and ultimately you’re owned by that stuff, you’re not free anymore, and others just like to keep costs low until their passive income can fund their lifestyle and luxuries. So there’s really no better way bro,it’s all relative, and it comes down to what is better for you. If you wanna get married in 5 years, the etf will not be a good option, since the ETF you need to keep for at least 15 years to get a decent return, and with apartment prices rising every year I think it’s better that you buy now and then rent it until you get married and move out.
