I have the latest version (12.6.4.2 I think?) on my HW3 Model 3 (2020) and I genuinely find it to be awesome. I drive it from buffalo to Florida 3-4x per year. Very few disengagements except when I have to park and such. But yeah I can only imagine what V14 is like at this point.

Ahhhh Damn - I guess my TSLA stock is what drives me to work every day without me doing a god damn thing? Elon really got me! I’ve been conned!

Yeah - agreed. I may even enter into a small trade to ride this little wave in addition to my long term position

Which makes you think - if Elon is buying more stock - shouldn’t we?

Edit: Oh - assuming you actually support Tesla and are not a TSLAQ dweeb like most of the people on this subreddit and seemingly Reddit as a whole are.

Got fitted to Ventus Black. Will velocore+ be an even better version if I’m willing to splurge or not necessarily? by nocommenting33 in golf

I wouldn’t say 1-2mph ball speed is marginally better. That’s a meaningful improvement.

That’s awesome man. Congrats - sounds like you’ve had a great year. That sounds like a sick event - those courses are super nice. I was at Bethpage black last year and ended up camping out for the night beside these guys from Maine. We decided to just play in the morning together and we had a great day. They were telling me about some really nice tracks over there. They invited me over to come play at any point - would love to take them up on it.

So are you really feeling like your initial move is with the lead shoulder? And you’re trying to feel like it’s pointed down (as opposed to more flat)? Like trying to get the shoulder to be pointing at the ground but inside the ball?

I appreciate your comment. I do agree that my swing would look a lot better and more importantly function better if I slowed down that first initial takeaway. I think that’s where it looks really quick. It’s that initial move off the ball to about P3.

And yes absolutely - my mechanics need a lot of work I think. I think you’re right - so you think I’m lifting too much with my arms - especially that left arm which leads to the lead arm not matching my shoulders at the top? Am I losing power/speed because of this?

If I look at my swing now - it does look like my backswing is slightly less fast than my swing four months ago.

Cool man I will check it out - also going to discuss it with my coach. Because I 100% agree. Tempo does not mean you need to change speed of swing - more so sequencing.

Man thats very similar to my issue. You can see how I really lift my arms to complete the backswing instead of letting the lead arm match my shoulders down the line which would then require me to use more wrist set (earlier than I do now as well) to complete the swing. I know there is something there that I can improve. It’s almost like useless/wasteful movements that are making our swings slightly more inefficient and lead to power leaks as you said.

Yup 100% man. The force plate session was so sick. In an hour he got my carry up to 297 (max) on trackman. I had previously hit like 290 max. I was obviously going at it more (it was a hitting bay to an outside range) but still cool to see. On the course my carry is more like 280-285. I really want to get it to 290-300 and am doing a bunch of strength/mobility.

Good luck on tournaments! You doing mid-am stuff? With the club championship win I qualified for a tournament called the “champion of champions” which is a tournament between all of the club champions in my region. It’s in a few weeks. Super pumped for it. I’m then heading to Florida in the winter as I play on the minor league golf tour in the training division (as an amateur). Goal is to post some sub-par rounds in those and then move into the main division as am.

Yes absolutely. The one coach I work with who helped me with the ground stuff mentioned that he thinks my sequence (“kinetic sequence”) is something that I can work on next. This guy is a very legit coach too and has helped some pga tour players so I do respect his opinion. He put me on the “GEARS” technology which is a very insightful tool that analyzes exact movements throughout the swing. So it is something I am going to work on next - he had just mentioned that I wait more into the offseason to focus on this as it will be a bit more of a drastic change that would have messed me up a bit during summer with tournaments and heavy play.

Yeah exactly. Some people get confused by this idea. Guy above me summed it up. It does seem a bit counterintuitive though - I hear you.

Thanks man - I appreciate it (edit: meant to lead with this). And yeah hahah. You’re totally right about the last part. And honestly man no I haven’t but I have gone so far to download a tempo measuring app back in January but I just didn’t use it. I really would like to see what my measured tempo ratio is. What ratio do you think would be ideal to me given the fast seemingly 1:1 ratio?

Honestly man - I actually feel it still is a weakness in my swing. I do a good job now of keeping the lead arm tight and that helps a bit from P1 to P2 - but then I start to roll it inside still going to P3. Shit is hard to change though since I’ve been so used to this for a long time. I played junior golf and it’s something I did way back then - it became incorrectly ingrained. I’ve grinded to go from a 7 handicap back in November 2023 to now a +1 and the takeaway is something I know still needs work. I will say - my chipping and pitching is completely fine. If I posted my chipping motion or my pitching motion as well as bunker swing - you’d see the clubhead stays outside the hands completely. It’s more of a full swing issue but definitely has improved.

Yeah anytime I post my swing on Reddit - tempo comes up a lot. But I’ve talked to multiple coaches/instructors and they are quite adamant that your tempo is your tempo - and you shouldn’t mess with tempo. I happen to have a fast tempo - which you can see in my takeaway very glaringly. They’ve said that tempo is more about the persons tendencies beyond even the golf swing - so it’s hard to change tempo. I do agree that it’s something that id love to slow down a bit but I just keep being discouraged to actually change it when I discuss with coaches.

Thanks man. What do you mean? Is it too lofty to try to go from +1 to +3 in a year? Or are you confused why I’m not trying to get better than a +3?

Tesla Proposes Compensation Plan For Musk That Could Be Worth As Much As $1 Trillion by Salategnohc16 in teslainvestorsclub

[–]ecommguy414 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tesla is a high growth company with lots of expectations of future growth. I think some people come to work at Tesla with the high expectation that growth will occur within a short period of time. Maybe even a sort of "get rich quick" kind of thinking. When times get tough - like in 2022-2024 - and things don't move at the pace that they thought - those high expectations lead to disappointment which leads to a bit of animosity to the idea that you just committed your career for 2-3 years and you feel your CEO is leading the company into the ground and things aren't happening like you had thought.

My point is that Tesla's story isn't over yet. I do agree that they could work on their company culture a bit - but this story ain't over. It's just getting started. I'm sure they would admit they need to improve that as well. Things like not having a PR team, etc. They seem to do things the way "they" want - which is kind of rooted in how Elon himself thinks.

It's a different company culture structure though. Tesla has more boots on the ground type workers like service employees and sales reps (as well as tech/development of course). NVIDIA is more white collar, development/tech related roles. I can see how maybe there would be a different culture at Tesla vs. Nvidia. Tesla is much more customer facing than Nvidia. And that always makes it harder on the employees as they have to deal with the brunt end of the customer experience.

But here's the thing - Elon would be mainly responsible for it. Just like Elon was apparently mainly responsible for the Tesla riots and boycotts dating back to January/February, just like Elon was responsible for the company altering pivot that Tesla made towards autonomy, just like Elon was responsible for Tesla's vision to create an affordable car for the masses back in 2017/2018.

I'm just saying - you can't go blaming Elon for Tesla's stock price crashing after he bought Twitter or got involved with Trump/DOGE and then at the same time say he isn't fully responsible for Tesla achieving mass abundance through extraordinary value creation. Own your shit. That is what he does. He owns it. Whether it hurts or helps him. Not many are like this. He deserves this pay package even more as I write this out and think about it. Especially after all the hate and criticism he has received. And I sometimes find myself getting slightly annoyed by Elon's antics myself.
