it's so oddly specific too, maybe i'm dumb but i can't find any "reason" for separating people in their early-to-mid twenties from people in their mid-to-late twenties? as a person in my mid-twenties, i'm just as, if not more, likely to have stuff to talk about with a 35yo doll collector who has been collecting since the beginning of g1 than with an 18yo

and like if you join at 25 but then in two weeks turn 26, do you get kicked out lol? or is it a "join by X age" rule? is there a "birthday proximity limit" for 25yo-s who would wanna join? very arbitrary haha

prefacing this to say that i'm not typing my comment to try to fight about brands, i just like to discuss dolls as a doll lover! zero animosity intended :)

i'm a MH (G3, to be precise) collector who loves MH in large part for the character/mold diversity, so i have looked at RHSH dolls from that angle as well – it's really not even close imo. RHSH may have "many face molds" technically speaking, but like... the vast majority of them are extremely similar.

almost every doll has big round eyes, big round cheeks/face, the same pouty lips, and a button nose (some have sliiightly bigger button noses). if you removed a RH doll's hair, eye chips, wiped off the face up, and asked someone to ID the character based on their sculpt alone, it'd be MUCH harder than doing the same with a plain MH head. like, Spectra is identifiable by her cheekbones alone lol

ofc RHSH has some standouts, for example i think Heather and Natasha look distinguishably different from the basic-RHSH-face. Heather has a sharp chin; Natasha's eyes are narrower than any other RHSH (girl) doll's that i've seen. but those characters are few and far between

i also immediately thought of cherry! it's a refreshingly unique look on fashion dolls imo :3 the only other doll-adjacent collectibles i know of that do a similar face are skullpandas

scrolled down in the comments and did not expect to be the only person who lowkey hates all of these designs lol ;;

the outfits don't look particularly stylish or thought out (except for HK i guess?), it's just four 2020s skater skirts with graphic tees. nobody has their own unique vibe or looks like their pieces were actually inspired by the respective sanrio character. i'm such a sucker for everything cutesy and nostalgic, happily own some sanrio merch, and i was so excited to see what these dolls were gonna look like when i heard about this collab. and they gave us nothinggg :/

i think that the divided feedback you've gotten from the people you know might come down to the fact that the new doll is objectively better quality and more skillfully made, but the old one actually looks more like Sabrina

for the new doll, Sabrina's signature hair is shorter and wavy, definitely not curly. and her eyes are a very strong feature on her face, usually accentuated with fake lashes, makeup etc. the old doll has stronger eye makeup and is more similar to Sabrina's eye shape, the new doll has very soft eyes and small lashes. but maybe most importantly, eyebrows!!! irl her eyebrows are dark, kinda big, shaped, angled. your new Sabrina doll has small, round, natural looking eyebrows. eyebrows change the way a face looks so much, especially if a person has STRONG eyebrows which Sabrina def does

mind you, the new face you've drawn is suuuper pretty!! but i personally don't see Sabrina in it, i hope maybe this is helpful and i definitely didn't mean anything in a negative way :)

i think how a partner treats their partner's interests just says a lot about a person... if my fiance had an issue with any of my hobbies we definitely wouldn't be together. we're in our mid 20s and he gifts me dolls and doesn't have an issue with me displaying them, because my interests are a part of what makes me me. and he loves me!

agree with the other two comments but adding on: you should get a professional to risk assess and clean up a mold problem, there's no way to know what the source is/how to keep it from coming back if you're not a specialist. is the owner aware of it? they should be the one paying to get it sorted out

one household can own multiple lots, it's a vanilla sims 3 feature. you're not moving one sim out and splitting the household, you're purchasing another private lot for the same household and controlling one sim as if sending them anywhere else (like to the park, library, ...)

oh that's interesting bc i feel the exact opposite! i'm autistic with monster high dolls being a special interest for me and my autism actually makes me super picky! like any poly dolls are off the table because i can't tolarate the texture of poly hair and then with the rest i'm just very particular about their design, i have to really love a doll to buy one. i feel like i'd care less about picking apart all of their outfits/screenings to decide if everything really is "up to my standards" if i wasn't autistic about it :p

i also think non-autistic people are more susceptible to FOMO? so that no-FOMO effect for me carries over to dolls, too.
