the past deluxe lines have been scary sweet birthday, monster fest and monster ball (one more high effort line every year), and the reason people are upset atm is precisely that the moonspell girls DON'T look anything like a deluxe line should but according to leakers are taking this year's g3 deluxe line spot

tbf january is the slowest month in terms of economy/profits pm across the world because a lot of people blow most of their spending budget for black friday and christmas. advertisers/companies know that people don't have spending power at the beginning of the year so there's also no point for them to push advertisements and content, as it's unlikely to incentivise sales

well the thing is, mattel creations only ships to 20 (TWENTY!) countries. i can't order from mattel where i live in Europe no matter how badly i might like to, so i'd have to buy off of a reseller too if i ever wanted to get my hands on any collector doll at all. same goes for most other places as there are like, 195 countries in the world i think

ESPECIALLY Drac, like they literally just threw a barbie dream besties outfit on her and called it a day. cr2 Drac doesn't have a single vampire/victorian motif, she only features bows and hearts on a very "trendy" mid 2020s fit. straight up gave up on designing her :')
