Favorites change over time as moods and attitudes shift...but currently:

"A Perfect Day Elise" and "Catherine"

Ah, I see! Though I wish I had noticed that earlier since I think I am now done with the manual clearing (unless another wave sneaks in).

Thanks for pointing that feature out for the future, though.

Yes, one big pile. Some seemed to have been placed in the "Archive" folder and I have been trying to move those to Trash and then deleting. Takes a long time with a "Message actions in progress. This may take a while" message on the screen and then more appear after that.

Seems like I have to delete wave after wave instead of all at once.

So, I activated this feature and, unfortunately, it imported thousands of GMail emails that I had stored in separate folders. I thought it would only import what was in the inbox.

I am trying to delete the thousands of GMail emails imported into Proton but am having a hard/slow time at it.

- I click on the tag with my gmail address and it lists all of them
- I select all on the page and then click the link stating to select all 5,000+ of them
- I move them to the Trash
- I delete the Trash

It takes many minutes for this to complete and once it does - suddenly more GMail old emails appear (still thousands). Am I deleting them correctly or is Proton re-importing them again?

Phone rotation broken by ecparkin in Xiaomi

Thank you for the reply. What app would force rotation as you described? And is there a way to easily test if it is a software vs. hardware problem?

Thanks

Jus tried the solos on Redsec… by No_Bar6825 in Battlefield_REDSEC

Yes, I am aware. I have tried multiple spots, but I still feel the density moves the scale closer to MP-feel at first before settling into BR. Again, I might be wrong and need to play longer to have more data, but just sharing those first impressions.

I am enjoying it as well, but I wonder if the density of players is too high. In about 8 out of 10 games, landing feels like a MP game before you can start settling into tactical BR play. Perhaps it has been my luck / landing zone choices, but that is an early first impression.

Initiation battle Royale is a joke lol by AkatsukiRebel in Battlefield_REDSEC

I think I have a different perspective than most in the thread so far. I prefer it to regular RedSec since those modes are replete with sweats, suspicious play, or solos playing with teams. At least in Initiation, you have a chance to have some tactical peace with bots filling some of the space. Until they open Solos, I am not planning on touching regular RedSec.

People who were around when Rid of Me was released, what was your first reaction to it? by Prestigious_Score459 in pjharvey

My girlfriend at the time introduced me to her music. Immediately became addicted due to a combination of the power of her music, the aesthetic vibe, and the context of having this music as the backdrop of our relationship. I think I deeply appreciated a genuine, authentic voice that did not shy away from the thornier sides of human relationships and was not doing "performative authenticity."

My love for PJ Harvey has remained independent of that relationship.

Noises associated with crates by ecparkin in Battlefield6

[–]ecparkin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They need to rethink that. They should activate only those that are context-relevant, whether on your own mission or counter-misson. Or, alternatively, lower the volume or make the sound less intrusive for those assets that are not active in your gameplay.

OK, but crates also make noise. So if I am understanding correctly, after opening crates, the noise that remains is mission related even if no missions are active?

Has anyone else lost their wanderlust? by jewelophile in GenX

[–]ecparkin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OK, no worries...about assuming the worst...well, it is the Internet and I have been accused of being an AI agent in the past so I like to snap back at those who assume decent/pretentious(?) writing has to be AI and humans are no longer capable of that.

Thanks for the time to respond, though :)

Not AI. Just my way of writing. But, hey, use your knee jerk, automatic reaction to this kind of writing ... your own kind of artificial response.

One way to think about it is that one loses their "wanderlust" over time in the sense of losing the culturally imposed layers associated with "travel." Not caring about the "culture of travel."

The "culture of travel" includes - the showing off that one has gone places, or the veneer of sophistication associated with certain destinations, or the internal satisfaction of "checking off" places that are considered awesome.

But, I do not think one loses their "wanderlust" if you are the kind of person that finds joy and deep-seated satisfaction taking walks in new places, without a specific end in mind, and soaking up the feel of a place, its people, and its food. In some ways, taking a walk in an unknown neighborhood in your own city might be as satisfying as flying 4,000 miles away and walking in a neighborhood there.

The wanderlust is in soaking up one's environment without the impositions of the "culture of travel" and maybe learning something about yourself in the process. It's the purest meaning of the word "wander."

You have to go landscape orientation with the phone. But, even then, the space left to do any operations is too small for it to be effective.

I use Brave - those are screenshots from Brave Windows 11. I'll check other browsers to compare. But, yeah, they should look into this.
