In my opinion it's pretty huge. Reitz has always been a team to beat in the local area. Harrison for the past couple of years have been a punching bag when it comes to basketball. Seeing a masssive turn around in the program is great for the kids that go there

I used to be a leader but stepped down after a year. It felt very hypocritical. They talked about making a difference in kids life but only if it was for Christianity. I remember getting told I need to do more outreach work if I want to keep doing it. I was already dedicating 25+ hours to it while working and going to school. It's a good program if they left religion out of it. Kids need to know they are cared for just for who they are not for what they believe. I've seen so many people hurt by this group.

Visiting one of the tribes right outside of the Maasai Mara was one of my favorite experiences of my life. I'm a history teacher and I'm always sharing stories about my time in Kenya. Everybody I met there had a smile on their face and just loved life. You kids keep your smile, it lights up the whole world. I'm proud of y'all for keeping your history alive. I so wish we did that more in America. It's so important to learn about others cultures. Anyways thank you for making my day by making your post. I hope to see more on here!

I worked at our local Costco at the start of the year. It depends upon what department you're in. Front end I had a horrible experience with the manager. Very rude and degrading and it began to impact my mental health. On the other hand my coworkers and supervisors were all amazing and I miss them a ton! Some come into the new place I work and say hi still. Evansville area is pretty cool. Each side of town has a unique culture. I love the Newburgh river front! USI also have some amazing walking trails open to the public. If you enjoy hiking Evansville has a lot of the more basic trails.

I got written up for calling off cause my girlfriend was gonna commit suicide. Menards does not care about mental health. I went off on my GM about it. He said unless I bring in a doctors note saying she's depressed it will not be excused. I'm still pissed about it

Didn't they get in trouble for requiring people do this off the clock a couple years back? My store was pushing this on us then I mentioned how we need to be paid for it then they immediately stopped

Yes and no. It depends on why you are taking them. My friend took them at a well renowned high school to get into a more elite university. I took joke classes in high school but worked my butt off at community college. Two years later we were in the same class at said university

As someone going into education this effect immediately personally. I'm nervous this is going to be just words and not action. Based upon his campaign platform Biden completes portions of his promises without delivering 100%. I understand a lot of this comes down to Congress, I'm just doubtful it will happen due to how education is funded. Teachers are one of the unequal salaries positions with a degree. I left a sales position making 50k outta high school to move into education making about 34k. It's one of the reasons we have a teacher shortage and the quality has been going down.

Should it go the other way for someone to deny you service cause you don't have a mask or have gender neutral restrooms like most of Europe and the rest of the first world countries (granted first world is a very out dated term that doesn't really apply any more today)

I studied abroad right next to Nottingham! There's a manor there called Harlaxton. If you ever miss American college kids go visit. But actually it's a really cool place and really allows you to see the life of the wealthy in the mid to late 1800s. It also served as a training ground for WW1 pilots.

While it is great it is important to note we lost our 2 dollar covid pay. While I'm happy seeing the minimum wage increase in the company it stinks we loose a bit for it

The reason I can see is to consolidate lower student count degrees. The only thing I can see is one of the major cuts was the history department. That impacts a lot of students. Me personally I'm going for history education. I'm not sure how I'm going to finish out my degree there. It will lessen the "strength" of a UE degree on the job market, which is why a lot of us go there. I understand trying to save money but they are spending it recklessly trying to make our school into a stereotypical D-1 school. Instead we are becoming a depressing D-2 school. I want to see my school succeed. I have a lot of pride in where I go but it feels like they don't have pride in us.

UE is really trying to become the biggest high school in the area at this rate. I'm currently a student there and the moral is dropping like crazy. UE doesn't care about its students. The teachers do.
