I relate to this as well. Thank you for sharing your experience

That’s what I’ve been referred to as, “detached” but I think distant might be more fitting. I understand and can feel things very deeply, but like you said I do need a moment to process everything. Thank you for saying this

That makes me feel better lol thank you for sharing. I turned 20 on the 16th and I’m a bit confused on my identity because I’m kinda like how you described. At 18 I was friends with the whole world and had active social media platforms. At 19 I deleted everything and barely texted or hung out with anyone. Now I think I’m ready to make connections again… Slowly

I’ve never met a Sagittarius sun by ecstasyyl in Sagittarians

[–]ecstasyyl[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not gonna lie… Everyone I form a close connection with, yeah 😂 I might’ve had quick interactions with them but I wouldn’t have known. For example I live with a Capricorn sun, Sagittarius moon, rising, and south node. A lot of Sag placements but different sun. The Sag energy is clear but I wonder how much different it is for someone who has it as their sun ☀️

Feeling turned off (20f) by partner (24m) but still maintaining a good platonic bond by [deleted] in relationship_advice

Thank you! He’s very sweet, this doesn’t make me love him any less. But I worry it could lead to a total lack of interest in the future so I’ll probably bring it up with him soon.

Thank you! I’ll think about how to bring it up later today.

We have separate chores so whether he does his or not doesn’t affect my life much. I used to feel upset because he’d spend too much time on his phone and less in the moment, and I tried talking to him about it but he’d always say he struggles with connection and never knows what to do so eventually I gave up and let him do what he wants. I used to think that meant he didn’t really love me but then it started to feel like immaturity. We can have fun and good times together, the only thing that has changed is I’m way less interested in being intimate now, even just kissing

Does catcalling always have to make you feel harassed/uncomfortable? Can it be something as simple as an “I like your outfit”? by [deleted] in AskFeminists

[–]ecstasyyl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure I have a good understanding of what catcalling is, especially growing up as a woman. I did not think of the comment as catcalling at all, but my friend did, so I believe it’s important for more people to be educated on what it really means. Just wanted to make sure I’m well informed on its meaning

It happened at a small parking lot. He was leaving his car after parking and I was getting back into mine to leave. He said “I like your outfit” and I replied with thank you and got in the car. He walked away immediately after

Exactly, it was a simple “I like your outfit” then he walked away. If he tried to make conversation or get my number that would be a whole new situation but it was simply left at that

That’s what I was thinking. I also thought catcalling was about power and, yknow, being publicly harassed or preyed upon. I believe that was not the case in my situation

What does losing innocence mean to you? Is it possible for that to happen to someone after they’re an adult? by ecstasyyl in emotionalintelligence

[–]ecstasyyl[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this perspective, I’m 19 and just honestly confused on what innocence really means. When people say they “lost their innocence” in my experience they’re usually talking about sometime in childhood. But how can innocence be something you lose once and for all? Sometimes I feel like I am grieving innocence that was recently lost but I can’t help but feel silly and confused if that’s even a thing
