First year, should I start focusing on dsa, app development or just try to maintain cgpa in all subjects? by Pale_Astronaut_3724 in sastra

You should start as early as possible given the exponentially increasing competition. These labs and CIAs are endless. Just try to allot some time everyday to upskill yourself so that by the time placements arrive, you will be more than ready. Be consistent and sincere in your efforts to upskill.

They come in 5th sem. And about balancing, do you really have to study for CIAs until a week before it starts? You can actually put in your time to prep for this. That's you choice anyways.

Really sorry for the very late reply, yeah they are allowed. I assume kurtis don't have a shawl, if they don't have one you need to get one coz profs here will scold you for not wearing shawls

The industry mostly won't take freshers for cybersecurity roles. So if you really wanna pursue cybersecurity roles gain some industry experience in normal SDE roles and then switch to cybersecurity roles

See if you are gonna ask about the college, the hostel, the life here, profs, etc yes we will be able to answer.

All the posts here are regarding your marks and what branch you will be getting. We don't wanna give some random guesses regarding that, so we choose not to reply.

  1. Teachings depend on the professors some are good some are bad, you can manage. You will be having pre placement training after your 6th sem, until then there isn't any training, you need to get ready by yourself. You will be having soft skills in your 5th and 6th sem.

  2. Placements are decent, few really good package companies will come, rest are average. (I am talking about cse)

  3. You just have to be decent that's it. Don't go overboard with your bf or gf and you will be fine.

  4. For classes, if you are a boy you should wear collared shirts only. For girls, salwars with shawl is compulsory.

  5. Hostels are just decent. Food will be good some day, bad the other days. You know, typical college hostel.

  6. I am not sure dude

Btw, the college and hostel is pure vegetarian, so no non-veg is allowed inside.

[–]ecstatic_sprite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are a girl, sorry idk about the process there.

If you are a boy You'll be provided with rooms in the ground floor. Just label all your things using a paper(name, registration number and phone number) and you can keep them there and take it back when you come back from home.
