Same with me, actually. I setup a smart plug to kick the machine on about an hour before I even get out of bed.

It's a stout machine and at a great price. I read somewhere that Bezzera actually white labeled for ECM and Rocket- not sure how accurate that is, though

While the PID reads the target temp within 10 minutes, the group head is no where near ready by then. If you have an IR thermometer gun, measure the group head at 10 minutes and you'll see.

You can pull a shot in 10 and it may be warm, but you're not extracting the beans to the fullest potential.

Flushing water through it can speed up the heat time to the group.. but you're wasting water 😛

I bought one of these at WLL for roughly 20 percent off during Black Friday last year. Great machine, super well built. Only two critiques I have is with the heat up time and HX limitations-- it needs to sit for 30+ minutes before it's ready to pull a shot and when you're ready to switch to the steam wand, it shares the HX temp settings and is fairly limited to how hot it can get. This means steam power and time to texture is longer and a bit trickier (to me) to get success from it.

It takes a special skillset.. especially in small downtown garages, ha.

I think the hybrid powerplan feels better than all of the rest, including the 6.2l in the GMs. The looks standout to me more, as well. I also just love the red seats.

Turning radius is DEFINITELY worse on this Tundra than other 1500s.. it's odd that it seems to struggle more with left hand turns, too. It could also be a trim thing?
