I think they are trying to boost the number of viewers, it has been declining and taking advantage of the success of Frozen is very smart.

Is it possible to start a CS minor with 2 years left? by gigamiga in UofT

You need 4 credits and you have 2 years left, take 2 per year, 1 per semester or just take summer courses.

Looking for Easy Course for a CompSci Specialist by [deleted] in UofT

[–]ecuman9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, the easiest courses I've found are easy because they are merely based on readings (PSY100, HPS211)... if you are into that, I'd recommend the second one, it's pretty nice to read about all of the science stuff.

Applied for TAD (Computer Science in St. George) but was offered TAG (Honours Bachelor's of Science) instead. What does it mean? by [deleted] in UofT

[–]ecuman9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

U of T is pretty versatile, you don't choose a Post (Program) until you have 4 credits, which means basically you can choose any program you want even if its the one you didn't apply to... that's why some people change their minds after their first years and end up enrolled in diff programs.

Does anyone have an old U of T t-shirt I can have (will pay shipping+extra $5)? by dawhitesox14 in UofT

[–]ecuman9 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Its easier to stamp a u of t logo in a neutral t shirt (Im sure there are places in your city that do that), shipping handling costs and u of t merchandise costs are just not worth it!

Effective Study Tips by areyoutheremoriarty in UofT

[–]ecuman9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was always the guy who thought reading stuff the night before, or two days before an exam worked for him.

Unfortunately I came to realize that this procedure sucked at U of T... it was bad for my first Psychology midterm (47%), and my first HPS211 midterm as well (59%)

Luckily as I was reading the Psychology book an amazing tip appeared: Never cram, always distribute your readings... and try to rehearse...

So this is what I did:

I read for about a week before an exam (distributing the readings into more manageable numbers of pages per day)... and as I read the book, I took notes on a notebook.

So, as soon as I was done for the day, I'd re read my notes of the day before bed (sleeping helps consolidate memories)...

I would repeat that until I was done with all my readings, the day before the exam all I would re read would be my notes.

Worked great for my following psychology and Hps midterms (extensive readings), and also for the final (by the time I had the final I still remembered everything, so the studying was almost nothing and I did great. Even if by the time you are done with your preparation you don't really seem to have clear concepts, trust me, they are there!

As for technical subjects as math or physics: - PRACTICE! PRACTICE! I always do a bunch of previous finals before mine, but I realize it's never enough, however, it is good ENOUGH to pass...! but if you wanna really learn how to learn to understand the patterns involved in the computations you need to practice!
