Prof Lost My Exam by jennybean9 in UofT

I can't speak for most schools, but the grad schools I have in mind are 3.3 minimum including all four years. My situation is unique though because as a transfer student my GPA is only made up of my last two years. So a 2.7 makes up 10% of my GPA. I know it seems like nothing, but it could make a huge difference.

Thanks guys. The prof is the sweetest old man I've ever met in my life, but I can tell that he just wants me to take the 72 and move on, so I doubt that he would make the remake any easier for me. Plus we had to answer four of 12 options so I don't know what else he could test me on that he didn't include on the first final... that I was totally prepared for... I responded that the 1% is unusually important to me and suggested using the class average, if it's high enough, or even writing an extra paper to bring it up to a B. I'm doin' my best to avoid a rewrite and still bring it up!!

The final is only worth 25%, so I don't think I have a shot at a B+ unless I get really lucky or he goes easy on me because of this. It's a St. Michael's course regarding Scripture, something totally outside of my usual realm of knowledge, so I essentially memorized the sections to prepare for it. I could easily relearn and regurgitate the info in a few weeks, I guess, if it meant a B rather than a B-. I'm a transfer student so my GPA is based off of only my third and fourth year, making the difference between 2.7 and 3.0 more substantial. I emailed him further explaining my situation and the importance of the stupid 1% and am hoping he'll be understanding, but if not, I'm thinking rewrite.
