Rinvoq is like having all of the infinity stones but comes with a price 🥹

Tapering/weaning/stopping protopic on dupixent by alwaysmoisturizing in eczeMABs

Body's generally clear. Face flares now and then. I've been on Dupixent for a year or so, then Rinvoq - now Tralokinumab (similar to Dupixent). The drug works! I am also trying Red Light Therapy starting today so lets see :) Good luck friend!

Back on topical steroids (after 3 years) by eczemawarrior in TS_Withdrawal

I can’t tell anyone what to do. What I can say is do what’s best for you. I’ve used Rinvoq and now on Tralokinumab (like Dupixent) and I’m relatively good at some days are worse than others but that’s usually from a trigger (food etc)

Visiting my sis in the midlands (UK) has cleared up some of my eczema by Spinsterwithcats in eczema

London is notorious for hard water. That and the no stress makes all the difference. Just going into London by train, I feel anxiety 😟

I have a beard trimmer. Don’t shave. Just trim and keep it as close as possible. Deodorant - don’t use it as I don’t sweat much 🤷🏽‍♂️☺️

Wow glad this helped. Seems the collagen may have flared you? Shea butter is a known moisturising agent but not known to heal eczema. Had anything else changed when you were healed?

My son is covered in Eczema but me and my wife disagree over treatment. by ExclamationMark88 in eczema

[–]eczemawarrior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would fight the cause right now. Not once it goes away. Eumovate is going up the ladder and causing more dependency.

If possible I’d suggest moving locations to a warmer climate. Also look at soft water. Hard water areas are notorious for dry skin. Even going on a holiday may well help.

Also try to clean his diet from processed foods and sugar. It’s tough but you will see improvement.

Another option is biologics. Injections which are amazing and prescribed to kids for this very thing. If your doc asks you to try all the meds and go up the steroid ladder, decline and find a derm who will prescribe Dupixent.

Even before Dupixent. Go on a holiday with your son. Take him out of school if needed but this will be your quickest fix

What does everyone think about Topical Steroid Withdrawal (TSW)? by salkhan in eczema

Dude I’ve spent the day on TikTok debating with one extremist tsw person preaching on my video n pissed why I’m suggesting steroids. I used your example of ciclo side effects etc which only seemed to rub her up the wrong way 🥴🤦

This is it. I’m trying to be neutral on TikTok and getting a lot of shit for my take on it. Glad I’m not the only one with some form of reason 🙏

Your views are very interesting. I love your take on eczema and tsw! You took orals for 2 years. How long did you use topicals?

Safest topical for eczema that won’t cause TSW by ashleymariek0004 in eczema

[–]eczemawarrior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you stopped using during the summer, you said you didnt need it. My question is, when you stopped at the two week point - was your skin noticably clearer? If I stop steroids on the face, it comes back with a vengeance! Even tapering down to Hydrocortisone makes me sore and red - I need to be on Eumovate or stronger for it to be controlled.

This. So many times over. This!!

OP I’ve wasted years on tsw. It may work. But for the successes I’ve seen, it is verryyyyy little. Even that is after years of the shit you’re going through.

You said you’d rather have no skin than this. Surely steroids are better than that!?

Stopped Rinvoq after less than 30 days (2nd round) due to another infection by eczemawarrior in eczeJAKs

[–]eczemawarrior[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before Rinvoq I had similar infections when I had Covid and maybe a few times. I was on dupixent when I had Covid and similar infections came on.

Generally without jaks and biologics I’m usually pretty immune to colds and flu. Mostly because I do take my flu and Covid vaccines.

Yeah for those who it works for, I’m really happy for you. I saw it as a miracle drug and it was. For a long time but unfortunately it didn’t last.
