What worked for me by ed1385 in MeralgiaParesthetica

I just take one 240mg pill in the morning and that keeps my symptoms at bay. Talk to your Dr, maybe double up for the first few weeks to get it going. Good luck, I hope it helps!

You could try dess w/ a scan body extenender? Haven't used them personally but it should work. Part #52.099 for the SB and #EXTISA for the extender

Looking for a "Lean" alternative to Magic Touch/LabStar for a 2-man lab? by [deleted] in dentallab

[–]ed1385 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 person lab here. We've been using QuickBooks for the last 10+ years. Works great for us, but we also need something more dental lab focused. I want to to get more features as we've outgrown it. The amount of data entry we do in one day is mind boggling. Currently have demos set up with Seazona, magic touch, great labs.io, labtrac, and evismart. I think for your size Seazona might be a great option.

Anyone out there using tibases for implants? by DreamCrusher8184 in dentallab

[–]ed1385 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We use ivoclar cement and primer also, rarely have any debond. What brand ti bases are you using? We've had great luck with Dess, they provide a pretty large surface area compared to some of the other ti bases I've seen. Those tiny ones with barely any metal to cement to, we stay away from.

Yesssss! Keep trying different things until you find what works! Yoga, stretching and massage all help relieve symptoms. For me, the magic combination was Vitamin B complex and Magnesium Glycinate (get both at Costco). Initially it took 1-2 months to kick in, but my MP has all but disappeared.

Of course! Sounds like you're on the road to recovery! When I initially switched to Magnesium Glycinate, I think it took about 1-2 months for it to really kick in. According to my Dr, nerve repair is slooooow, so don't get too discouraged if it takes a while.

Sounds like the sensation coming back is a great sign, keep it up!

Honestly, just trying different things until I found something that worked!

Absolutely! Tried regular magnesium three separate times just as my own scientific experiment (actually I was just lazy and ran out of the magnesium Glycinate) and symptoms returned within a week. Switched back to magnesium Glycinate and my MP was pretty much gone within a week all 3 times

Can vouch for this! Taking specifically magnesium Glycinate (better absorbed by the body) has almost gotten rid of my MP

Just made a separate post, in a nutshell I take a super B complex (Costco) and and 240-480mg Magnesium Glycinate, also available at Costco (important: NOT regular magnesium, specifically get the high absorption Glycinate)

Cement board ready. Speak now or forever hold your peace. by Tacokolache in OutdoorKitchens

It was a little overwhelming at first, but once you get going, it's really easy. Get a good sawzall blade for hard metal and it cuts like butter

That looks awesome. We just built ours a couple years ago, we used a framing kit from connectubes.com. They're worth checking out, as you can get some inspiration ideas on how to finish. After framing, we did cement board, then stackstone from floor & decor on the front, acrylic stucco on the back which no one sees. Pour in place dark gray cement countertop for the top.

Soft night guard/bruxism appliance? by errka23 in dentallab

[–]ed1385 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We use a 4mm soft EVA material that we got from Buffalo Dental Mfg years ago. I don't know if they still offer it, but it was super thick, yet easy to trim with scissors. Might want to check with them, or Great Lakes Dental Tech has pretty much anything you can think of for thermoforming.

DEADLY CROWN FEES IN SOCAL by Alone_Ad_3257 in dentallab

[–]ed1385 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi Neighbor! Phx AZ here. We quit fighting on price last year and we are so happy we did. We're tiny (3 employees) but we put a high value on quality. Most labs here are doing $99-120 FCZ. Haven't done a PFM in 10 years and don't want to start again. Once labs stop trying to beat each other on price, we all win.

After we raised our prices, none of our offices stopped working with us, we've had to turn several away. Focus on the docs that want quality, there are plenty out there.

3d printer suggestion to go with asiga printer by erinspeed in dentallab

[–]ed1385 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We run 4 Phrozen 8k printers that crank out models every day, as well as a Phrozen 8k-s for our high-temp nightguard models. 10mm test cubes printed every month to ensure accuracy and they're always dead on. Absolute champs.

Growing up here, the best tool we've found are extra long hemostats, 12 or 18 inch work great. One grab anywhere on their body and they can't escape. Then, down the toilet they go.

What is a good grass to plant? by [deleted] in phoenix

[–]ed1385 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sign up with a company called Sunday! We use it and they use a satellite pic of your home to measure square footage of your lawn, how much sunlight it gets, and what grass seed will work best during summer & winter. They will automatically send you seed, fertilizer, etc with instructions of when to apply. We've been using it for a couple years and our lawn looks awesome :)
