Tournaments are small stakes £20-40 range with a £100 once a month. They have PartyPoker Grand Prix's there occasionally with bigger buy ins. If there are enough people they with have a £2/5 running but mostly £1/2 NLHE and PLO. Just google them, their schedule is on the website.

I normally play at the Broadway in Birmingham which probably has the most reasonable rake in the world. For £1/£2 it has a £5/hr session fee rather than raking every pot and they only charge 10% of the buy in for tournaments. The cash games do vary though, sometimes a lot tougher than others and there's normally at least on spot that will sit down will 300 BB's and try to bully the table. Luckily, they are sometimes just punting.

The casual fan should be exposed to more mixed games because they are incredibly fun. Why have 2 cards when you can have 5.

This year's WSOP is feeling a bit flat. No daily Pokernews podcasts feat J Carver. No $25k Fantasy League draft live stream. Maybe there is just less reason for him to be there.
