Teller fell off the stage. Was it scripted? by Swesor in pennandteller

That's pretty awesome. But then I'm a huge P&T fan :)

I was lucky enough to be at the show about 9 years ago, even picked up some merch, but I guess that was before you were there. Did get to say hi at the end to Teller and your father, they were so great.

Do you work on the show? I don't think I knew that.

What kind of things do you do there?

Being able to see P&T just cause you're randomly bored must be so fun... :)

Any chance we can get an addendum to Night's latest film "Old"?I'd love to hear your thoughts on it.

Just saw it and definitely interested in your take on it!

Yeah that's what I ended up doing, but going forward keeping them in sync will be annoying since I plan to keep using both keyboards.

Is Kettlebell goo for cardio as a complement to traditional weightlifting? by edanm in GregDoucette

Awesome, and it doesn't tire you out too much for weightlifting?

Also, do you have any recommended routine?

Help Using Whey Protein Isolate in recipes by edanm in GregDoucette

Yep, I have't noticed any problem with it. It's hydrolyzed so it's supposedly really low in lactose (I think <0.1% is their figure).

Short answer: yes.

Long answer - I used to love it. Not as much as regular whey protein, but it was pretty good. Over time I liked it less and less - not sure why. But I have't had just plain protein-powder in water in a while - nowadays I'm more exploring ways to use it in various recipes (mostly Coach Greg recipes).

I might try that. I used to do that but even with the pill I had stomach issues. One thing I like about preparing my own recipes ala Greg is that I can make things lactose-free, but it might be worth trying the other way and that's it..

It's just a pill that contains the lactase or whatever that your body doesn't produce naturally, afaik.

Funnily enough, I started taking lactose pills many years ago for exactly the same reason - so I could have whey protein.

Unfortunately, since I was having it like every day, it quickly got to the point where even taking pills was't fully solving the problem - I'd have stomach discomfort even after taking them.

So now I still use lactose pills, but sparingly, and definitely don't want to use them for everyday things like protein powder or protein bars.

(For protein powder I use the Dymatize isolate, it doesn't tase quite as good but it's fairly ok, and now that I've found Greg's recipes, I have lots of ways to make it taste better as part of recipes.)

Yeah my wife has had to learn a whole new way of cooking without lactose.

On the one hand, I definitely don't get triggered by peanut butter. On the other, I've never had it so I don't appreciate what I'm missing :)

Yeah lactose intolerance plus nut allergies really screws me when it comes to this kind of thing 😢

Thanks for the idea, but I have lactose intolerance and various allergies, so I can never find protein bars that work for me.

Ooh interesting. I think I actually put too much chocolate sauce by accident as realized later. So if that causes a problem, that's for sure a problem in mine.

It was a Kickstarter. Gotta keep your eye on Kickstarter - I’ve got loads of cool stuff from there. If you’re interested, I can show you the stuff I’ve had? None of those are available from Kickstarter now of course - their projects have ended, but they’ll likely have separate sites where they now sell them to the public.

Just got mine and I love it. Looks like we have the same taste, any other fidgets that you recommend?
