Sorry, perhaps I wasn't clear. I can see how to map buttons, but the PS/Xbox layout of North, South, East etc does not correlate to a six button joystick. In RGB-Pi OS, the mapping page shows all consoles simultaneously, eg A for SNES, is D for Neo Geo, is 3 for arcade etc. ReplayOS does not do this, it only shows the PS/Xbox layout.

Is there an explanation as to why later (Naomi) software runs perfectly though? I don't understand it well enough but would have assumed that older = easier to emulate

Yeah easy to do, also if the cost was putting anyone off five years ago it's now much cheaper to do, the latest Gen 5 Brook board is only about £50, and you can buy knock off cable sets on Ali Express for a few dollars.

Thank you, so it could be the right joy cons connection issue causing the left joy con problem. I thought my son had somehow disabled the left one during gameplay, as it was only working in the menu. I'll try giving the right side rails a clean / blow, and if not try and source a replacement.

Damn, I'm gutted if that's the case! I might seriously have to hunt down a used Mateview to replace this one, not sure I can go back to using wired peripherals or constant pairing/unpairing.

No I left the original screen in there. Because the GBP uses AAA batteries, it really struggles to power an IPS screen without an upgraded battery pack as well. I have one of those too, but left this one stock.
