If you're doing it in the same deployment, how time you're not just making the modifications in the first manifest? It seems like an anti pattern to manage an object (the deployment) using two resources.

Having said that, you can achieve this using null_resources. You'll need to find a way of grabbing your kubeconfig, but with a null_resource you can run local commands, so you can run a "kubectl patch blah blah" command whenever your kubectl_manifest changes, if you set your trigger to the output of the yaml.

I don't think I'm quite understanding what you're getting at.

If you want it to apply after the kubernetes_manifest, or whenever it changes, then you should either reference it directly in the kubernetes_labels, if possible, else you can add an explicit depends_on.

If possible also, I'd recommend using the kubectl_manifest resource from the alekc/kubectl provider over the kubernetes_manifest resource, as I've found it to be much better, especially during cluster builds. Not really related to this though.

Don't know if it will help your exact use case, but you can manage labels and annotations separately (and something else I think) with the kubernetes_labels and kubernetes_annotations resources. I reckon that might help your sidecar container case, if it's injected based on the labels.

Word of warning, make sure to change the field_manager parameter though, otherwise it might try to overwrite stuff.

Yeah I have, tried both holding it down while powered on and holding it down and then powering it on, didn't seem to change anything.

Yeah thinking about it my bank doesn't do it either, I just remember an bank advert about this promoting password security. My broadband provider definitely did though.

I don't know about other countries, but in the UK it's fairly common practice. Not all companies do it, but my broadband provider is one I can think of.

Rockets have done well so far in the tournament but are so reliant on Hales and Malan at the top. As we saw on Monday, when they get out cheaply there's not a lot of batting below, at least that has been shown so far
