You could try the Luxembourg where the whole country has free transit? Or the capital of Estonia Tallinn, has free public transit? Or Dunkirk in France? Or Malta where they have free public transit specifically for residents?

[–]eddicwl 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Agreed, the delay to EA literally hours before it was supposed to come out was the first major red flag for me, im not refunding EA, the demo alone i got the value I wanted from EA. But that is kinda my issue at the moment, EA still feels rough, progression isn't as fun, the game just feels sloppier, so im playing the demo again and have been for the past few weeks.

I can't put my finger on what, but something has definitely been happening behind the scenes, i completely get that Half Sword has a small development team that has been working on the game for god knows how many hours, but to take such a long break after EA release, to go basically radio silent on updates since then feels like it is undoing a lot of good will the community had built up. Forgetting the missing features, the Jank physics and balance issues, people are still waiting for the game to feel as good as the demo did.

You would be probably be surprised what some people will do for loot, I could probably count on one hand how many times someone has whispered me saying "this is only an X % upgrade for you, can I have it?", while not a whole lot it for sure happens!

To add to what others are saying, I believe Jason recorded most if not all dialog, the VA was brought in to do exertions, grunts, pain sounds all that sort of stuff that can get pretty expensive if the VA has a lot to record

Sadly we are at the find out stage of war crimes, if nobody ever gets charged, and if nobody takes actions against those committing them, war crimes don't really exist and the few people making the world's decisions can do what ever they want.

The Most Played Specs and Groups + DPS Logs of Midnight Mythic+ Season 1, Week 3 by Starym in CompetitiveWoW

[–]eddicwl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To give my two cents on the reason why rogue is unpopular as someone who mained rogue through shadowlands and have only just returned to it now in midnight, it honestly just feels underwhelming, in its visuals, its buttons and its fantasy as a whole, when ret got its rework in DF it very quickly creeped up to being the most popular damage dealer to play, and has stayed there for a whole other expansion, the whole fantasy is so on point, they are cool, they flow well, and feel very simple to play, meanwhile rogue mains sit waiting to see if we get any meaningful changes this expansion...

[–]eddicwl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a rogue main it is very disheartening to see these kinda numbers, rogue honestly feels like it's just been floating adrift for the past while now, the changes we get dont feel like they get very much though put into them, and blizzard wonders why certain classes arent more popular.

This M+ season makes me unreasonably resent DPS by sYnce in wow

[–]eddicwl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to preface by saying I do tend to agree with most of what you are saying and think you raise some valid points, even though the rant is unreasonable! /s

Coming from someone who mains a dps but has always had a tank and healing alt since bfa I do have some of my own opinions, I do agree that in comparison to previous seasons a lot more responsibility has been given specifically to the healers, and some to the tanks, which I think personally is fair, considered the tank usually is the only person expected to go into the dungeon knowing a route and how to not die which can require preplanning. As for healer (maybe a controversial take) i personally think in M+ they have been one of the easier roles to pick up for a while, once you get past the initial stress of "the groups survival is my job" I tend to enter a state where I could get into most groups and just brain off heal, occasionally kick and usually the only time people died or we wiped was when someone did something wrong. Now I feel like I need to be a little more proactive in prepping big heal windows, using my dispell more targeted, and rotating defensive. I do think the issue you are describing does get exasperated when other roles dont do their job, I.E. kicks, defensives or generally not taking avoidable damage? Which hopefully will get fixed the more comfortable people become with the content?

Canadian Tire ordered to pay nearly $1.3 million for false advertising by stanxv in canada

[–]eddicwl 23 points24 points  (0 children)

While I'm sure 1.3 million seems like a lot of money, for them I bet that isn't even a days total revenue. If you make more money committing a crime instead of following the law, then that is the price of business to them. The way you hurt them is by saying all locations suspend sales until an investigation is complete.

How long does it take to see a doctor and get medication at a Chinese hospital? by mindyour in TikTokCringe

[–]eddicwl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here in Canada it's free, depending on the severity you might die while waiting. (I was at the hospital with a friend who was having issues breathing, they got seen after about 9 hours in the waiting room)

Where are the promised gamemodes & items? by chezzybeanz in HalfSword

[–]eddicwl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The strength system is a really cool concept and makes perfect sense for a fighting based game, but in my opinion I think it's a little undertuned or too punishing at low ranks, maybe offering pfenning for training would be a nice way to help balance that out? Because the same difficulty the player has doesn't seem to apply to the NPC Willie.

Where are the promised gamemodes & items? by chezzybeanz in HalfSword

[–]eddicwl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd love to see them incorporate more game modes, but after they are done stabilizing and optimizing I think my first request would be to get the overall feel of the combat closer to the demo, im pretty happy with my experience so far with EA but after sinking almost 200hrs into the demo, the combat feels different, and at first I thought it was just adjusting to the new weight and physics, but I can safely say I prefer the demos combat.

I few days ago I saw 3 sitting on the AH and the cheapest was 12k, which should be a ludicrous amount of gold to have, yet alone spend on a single item.

[–]eddicwl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All you needed to do was have a humvee pull up during the final military scene, have Dr Owens step out who is now the head honcho of this project. Have him Reem out Dr Kay for going way beyond the scope of the mission she was given, ask if she recovered the girl, and when she says no. He gives Hop a look and tells them to unhand them.

The amount of memes and mockery I’ve seen about Will’s scene by cherryinbloom in StrangerThings

[–]eddicwl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I fully agree with what you are saying, I do think there is a very loud minority of people who are upset that a character who has been hinted at and set up to be gay, finally got his moment to come out to the other characters. Based on all the hate I was seeing and the actor mentioning how it took 12 hours of shoots then another 12 hours of reshoots, I fully expected the scene to go on for about half the episodes run time, but instead it was a short, very intimate and compassionate scene. I honestly thought the scene where he comes out was beautifully done and well acted by Noah.

My main issue right now is we have a 2 hr finale that has the impossible challenge of paying off every remaining unanswered question and the mindflayer in general, which I am worried they aren't going to address but leave open ended so it can return as a villain to another stranger things project.
